Today Show Brown-Nosing For * By Omission |
|
1. They mention Bruce Springsteen's performance over the weekend where he railed at "criminal ineptitude." No mention of his "President Bystander" comment.
2. Video footage from the Correspondent's dinner is all bush - no Colbert.
Message - "See, we covered it. What's your problem?"

I love that Colbert was there! I think he's hysterical. I'm kind of surprised the Today show didn't include clips of him.

6. Dont be surprised...it would be more unusual if it were actually covered |
|
Time after time, I thought we had something, something really tangible and damning ... and that this is it! and that it be be on the front pages of all the important newspapers and it would be the main topic on all the news shows.
I have stopped getting my hopes up.
Welcome to DU. ;0)

3. someone asked a pertinent question here earlier: Didn't the press |
|
jump all over the roasting press dinners when Bill and Hillary were the butt of the jokes? Didn't they play the jokes over and over again on TV?

4. Yes, The Commentary Over The Week-End Was About HOW |
|
Bush was funnier than Colbert!!
Time For REVOLUTION! Let's get organized and HIT THE STREETS before '06 Elections!!
I have contacted so many outlets here in my community to see what THEY have in the works, and I'm sorry to say.... NOT VERY MUCH!! We MUST ORGANIZE to keep issues in front of the American people so they won't get yet ANOTHER "fuzzy" determined wedge issue brought to the fore!!
We need to try and have at least a couple of LARGE MARCHES highlighting a simple message of what is happening to middle class Americans, say nothing of those who live in POVERTY!!
This kind of basic grassroots message can't be pushed to the end of the line with another "gay marriage" or similar like-minded detraction! WHY CAN'T WE GET THIS DONE??
I'm going to keep posting this message every day until I get someone who has the know how and "moxie" that I don't have to start organizing something along these lines. Just a simple message that will appeal to ALL Americans, red state & blue state! A message that can't be attacked as Liberal oriented and one that appeals to We The People, a PURPLE state message!! A message about The Bill of Rights, just something.
I know I need help here, but I'm willing to travel to attend marches regardless of the fact that I have some very "serious" personal problems here at home, plus, limited finances. However to me, if we don't ACT NOW, there is a VERY GOOD possibility WE will lose in '06. You need only look to one major factor... gerrymandering. Taking back the House or Senate IS going to be HARD WORK!!!

5. Yeah - like they covered the debates and left out all the ISSUES that were |
|
covered by Kerry - like PORT SECURITY - DARFUR - TORA BORA - CHERRY-PICKING INTEL - OUTING a CIA agent - etc.......
Then they have the gall to complain that Dems never mentioned port security before Dubai deal, or that they don't care about Darfur, and they have no plans, blah, blah, blah........
