Steven Colbert and the AP news.
By WarisPeace,

Is no one going to write about what Steven Colbert said and did with Helen Thomas at the White House Correspondents' Association: Noting is in the liberal or even in the alternative news about this wonderful show Steven Colbert preformed? Bush turned so red in the face and walked out it was amazing, the liberal media is not talking about this at all I just see stupid stories about Bush his act about window dressing the white house overhaul.
Helen Thomas is not just a good journalist but also a wonderful actress.

Bush was so mad he face turned beat red and his wife took him out of the White House Correspondents' Association banquet or gala......

And all I can find are these kind of stupid articles in the news:
Bush Lampoons Self at Press Corp Dinner
Steve Colbert took even our main stream media on. Just like John Steward he told the people you are hurting our country!!!

Hey,
Please cover the most important comic display of our time. History will be printing this in years to come after Bush and Cheney are jailed for war crimes

Hello,
I am just wondering why I can't find anything on the Steven Colbert performance from the White House Correspondence dinner. Surly you know that the Bush impersonator wasn't the highlight from the show. Colbert was an absolute surprise (my jaw hit the floor). No matter what you thought of it, the performance was most certainly news worthy.

I hope you will cover it soon.

Thank you,
Julia

8. They are hiding on this one.
We are in the age of Media decline and are about to find out the power of the Internet. AP, MSNBC, CNN, broadcast media are increasingly irrelevant. If anyone wants to boost Jon Stewart and Colbert watch their shows, a surge in popularity will get attention. CSPAN is my main source of news unfiltered by talking heads. Also write Colbert's network and sponsors with praise. I am one of the old generation that now only watches broadcast media when it is endorsed by people I agree with such as here on DU. My motto is go to the source.

I do monitor FAUX on occasions to hear the talking points and note sponsors to avoid when I make purchases.

14. Exactly what I've been doing with this.
And actually, I kind of hope the media doesn't follow this story! Not only does it prove Stephen's original point, but then we don't have to deal with all that bullshit spin that would inevitably follow.

Ignoring this story is a blessing in disguise.

15. Here's mine. Sent about an hour ago.
Dear AP,

I understand that you are embarrassed that a comedian exposed your shoddy work at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner this past weekend. You should be embarrassed. However, that is no excuse for failing to report on Steven Colbert's speech. That said, we the American people aren't surprised. Your failures are what made Mr. Colbert's speech an embarrassment for you. It took a comedian to do your job.

Shame on your association. Shame on you for weakness. Shame on you for bias. Shame on you for cowardice.

16. PLEASE, DON'T!
Instead, e-mail your friends a direct link to the video.

To be honest, I kind of hope the media DOESN'T follow this story! Not only would it further drive home Stephen's original point, but then we also don't have to wade through all that bullshit spin that would inevitably follow.

Ignoring this story is a blessing in disguise.
