CNN pretending they're "fair and balanced" about Wash. Press Dinner Show.
CNN must have received a lot of emails about the one-sidedness of their coverage of the Washington Press Club dinner. I see on CNN they are now splicing some of the least offensive Colbert jabs into their latest presentation of, See George make fun of himself. Isn't he a good sport?....Everything they show of Colbert is inoffensive and no way do they allow any of his jabs at the media to be seen. It's a farce!

1. That's the way of it
whenever you say the Emperors have no clothes, you can't expect the naked emperors to applaud.

3. It's Colbert's truthiness on the media that has caused the blackout and
backlash. Of course, the attacks on Bush's failures and the corpmedia's failures to report the Bush presidency honestly are inextricably linked.

4. They showed the "Fox News" clips yesterday ...
Fair and balanced, the President's side and the Vice President's side.

I saw that a couple of time yesterday on CNN.

6. CNN's Absorbed In Their Own Immigration Invasion Frenzy
Seems like that's all they are covering today. They're giving cover to Lou Doobie's Immigration invasion...trying to out-fox Faux by whipping up a frenzy on this story (Doobies was on this for months) and now milking it for whatever ratings they can get. Any other news is just filler while they look for "illegals" and scare the wingnuts into thinking their gardeners are rising up against 'em.

Actually the bit I saw with the booooosh-bot double and Colbert spliced together was a lot harder-edged than what I had seen. They included the Fat Tony "salute" and even the Leno booosh-bot had some biting lines. It definitely made light of booooosh's low popularity numbers. Afterwards you could see the former Mrs. Rush Limbaugh was not amused.

11. Still....I'll bet we'll never see Colbert's remarks about the press and
media being nothing but stenographers for the Bush administration. (I don't remember Stephen's exact words, but that was the gist of his remarks.) What they are showing is relatively harmless stuff, IMO.

9. Send a message to Jack Cafferty!
I did! I think he likes getting email and a lot of times, comes up with his segments based on the emails he receives.

10. Is it from the hour "shared" with CNN International?
From the time of your post, I suspect this is from a time-slot where they appear to broadcast the CNNI feed on CNN. It is mid-day eastern time, early evening in Europe.

I thought I noticed an interspliced "Phony, Impersonator, Colbert" set of clips mid-day Sunday on CNN and never saw them again or heard them mentioned.

Anyone able to confirm this?
