"Immigrant Anger" -- MSNBC LIES!!!!!
This is the current outrageously FALSE banner headline at MSNBC.com:

Let them know that their "reporting" on "Immigrant Anger" is a total crock: letters@msnbc.com
- - - - -
This is my letter to MSNBC.com:

At the moment, your banner headline reads "Immigrant Anger." To see this out-and-out falsehood presented by a mainstream media outlet such as MSNBC is profoundly disturbing. Specifically, what and where is this "immigrant anger" that MSNBC is referring to?

I see no anger coming from immigrants -- today is a day of solidarity and a show of strength for them. It may be assertive, but it certainly does not constitute anger.

But truthful reporting would headline the veritable tsunami of anger directed at the immigrants by non-Hispanics. They don't seem to comprehend their own complicity in a cheap-labor system, and are enraged that those who work for mere pennies are finally standing up to be full participants in this country.

Sincerely,

We have the right to assemble. We have the right to speak out. Why shouldn't they speak out with regards to the bs.

7. "...any illegal immigrants at those events should be rounded up..."
"...and sent home."
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12576781/

In full, the reactionary choice in the poll reads: "No, it's disruptive to the economy, and any illegal immigrants at those events should be rounded up and sent home."

That "rounded up and sent home" really sounds American, doesn't it? :grr:

12. I'm probably about to step into it now.......
its only my 4th post(?), but half to a majority of the people who are bitching about this are anglo-saxons. The ones who took native lands, and came here "illegally". Ridiculous.

6. I believe there is a lot of anger in the MexAm community
They've seen this in CA with prop 187, and they don't appreciate the felony requirement for helping immigrants. They see, and rightly so a racist wedge issue being used against them and their relatives, and they don't like it, and taking much of this Mexican talk very angrily.

13. There Is Anger
That's why I can't write about my reasons for staying home today. I'm too pissed off to make what I wrote coherent. I love how the mainstream media criminalizes us. :sarcasm:

I went through that shit with Prop 187 a decade ago and now this. :nuke: :grr:

8. Next up: what to do if the brown hordes come down YOUR street
1) Stay calm
2) Call your local law enforcement
3) If they stayed home from work today, see #1

9. "Buchanan's analysis"
They've got a noted racist and xenophobe analyzing the whole thing, obviously they're lying about it.

I hope nobody's surprised.

11. MSNBC.com has now modified their banner to read "Day of Protest"
While that's an improvement, their coverage still panders to the reader's/viewer's "inner redneck." :grr:
