I've seen it several times. It's played on the local PBS station because it was filmed locally using locals as the actors.
It's a great film and won't chew up THAT much hard drive space...

but an unknown one. I remember watching a movie about the director of Salt of the Earth, Herbert Biberman, he was played by Jeff Goldbloom, its a pretty good movie in its own right, though I don't know how accurate it was. It was about his and his wife's experiences at being Blacklisted and then his decision to make this movie, to make a difference, and defy the HUAC and Hollywood producers.
