Instead of Colbert skewering **, let's pretend some drop of Backwash takes on Gore, or the next president. Only...they lie, and are just plain mean. For instance, if it were Clinton, suppose one of "them" had talked about him being a raper, molester--a vandal (missing keys from Whitehouse computers) or a crook.

What would the media do in contrast to what happened with Colbert? What would we have seen on TV for the past two days? I guess a better question is what will we see when they do it, because it's coming. Only it will be done in only the way Backwash can do it--without finesse, without humor and just plain mean spirited.
