I saw this on last night's news from Philadelphia.

The story was about the gas prices being $3/gal. Some of the customers were complaining to Sen Santorum. Of course, to end the story, Sen Santorum says that we'd have cheaper gasoline if President Clinton had signed the bill in order to drill for oil in Alaska. I wasn't aware that ANWAR was up for consideration during the Clinton administration.

I love the monikers for Santorum that I've seen on this board. My two favorites are Sanscrotum and Satantorum.

1. First, it was never under consideration.

Second, US refineries can't handle the high sulphur, "bunker" oil from the ANWR. It will go to Asia.

Third, even if refineries could handle it, they're already at capacity and the oil there would last only about 6 months if they were not.

Santorum is proving every day why pubbies need to be marched back to the lunatic fringe.
