3pm MSNBC - THE MOST - A new show premieres - host Alison Stewart
Edited on Mon May-01-06 01:17 PM by cyberpj
I don't see a thing about this on their schedule but I swear I just heard MSNBC TV promote a new show to premiere today at 3pm called THE MOST - to be hosted by (sorry I can't remember her last name right now) Alison (who subs for K.O. many times).

She's supposed to cover "The Most" things and one of the things they mentioned is THE MOST UNDERCOVERED STORIES. (Wouldn't THAT be nice?)

Could be good.

Tune in and review if you can.

1. Alison Stewart?
She's a former MTV News correspondent; she then went to "ABC World News Now," but she's been at MSNBC for at least a couple years.

2. So it's a daytime version of Olbermann.

Except that I don't understand the "undercovered stories" part. Why would a news network showcase their undercovered stories, especially if they SHOULD be covered? That's like a restaurant giving away Pepto-Bismol!

5. I noticed that myself. What sense can that make? Internal fighting?
Some say go with the K.O. fans - he's growing.
Others are corporate loyalists?
Just a guess.

SECAUCUS, NJ - MSNBC’s new groundbreaking news program, “The Most,” with host Alison Stewart, is set to debut on MSNBC on May 1 at 3:00 p.m. ET. Fast-paced and spirited, the new one hour show will give viewers a look at “the most” sought-after stories of the day. Every day, “The Most” will report on the most searched stories on the Internet, the most viewed stories from a multitude of news sources, the most e-mailed stories or photo images, the most downloaded music or blogged-about subject matter and the most viewed television programs or movies. Tapping into the top news stories of the day, “The Most” will dig even deeper to give viewers the most information on their favorite topics.

snip...

“The Most” will also turn the tables on itself from time to time, featuring a most “underreported” story of the day or a most “overexposed” person of the week...

9. Strike 1
That segment on immigration was totally distorted. The law proposed would require everything immigrants have to do now for citizenship. They would be able to start the citizenship process in 5 years, just like she said for all immigrants, and it would take 10-12 years and include all the requirements mentioned. She just let herself be duped.

Now we go to the annual beard contest. Hard news. Great.

11. I *used to think she was great
but she's becoming increasingly less watchable and more vacuous. For a while it seemed like she MIGHT want to actually do some NEWS...but guess she's just up for reading spew from the teleprompter. And her obvious and shallow shot at Colbert made me turn off the TV...and I won't be turning her back on.

people at the top. Olbermann is a loose cannon, but he's got ratings, and THEY wooed him back. He's got a freer rein. Maybe if Alison's show gets ratings too, she will get braver.

and, since Rita's shoq got moved, maybe they are trying to find a way to push her out completely :fingers crossed:
