2. The only reason they said the number is because you can't change |
|
an actual number. 4 million people could show up in DC next year for an anti-war march and CNN would say
"Dozens of hippies and anarchists milled around the mall in D.C. this weekend"

6. At first they showed bush's skit with the impersonator |
|
adding that it was hilarious and overshadowed the comedian who was supposed to get top billing, Stephen Colbert. Then they said, well, actually, opinions were split on that depending on political bias. Then they brought up the Thank You Stephen site, and they were all astounded about the 11,000 posts to the site thanking Colbert.

|
(to paraphrase) She said the left is weighing in with positive comments on Colbert's performance..... :applause:
I guess they forget. "We're still Here"

Like we are not really allowed to do something like that, especially since there is no way for them to play with the numbers. :)

11. Are they the only MSM station to mention Colbert? |
|
I watched MSNBC and the only thing they showed from that dinner was that impersonator. I was afraid Colbert was getting censored.

12. I saw CNN covering Colbert this morning... |
|
...and it was pathetic.
They showed the "Twins" skit in the main window. They intermittently showed clips of Colbert in a little window. The clips were not the hard-hitting, truthful jokes. They only showed partial clips that left out the punchline--or the jokes that didn't insult the pResident with the truth.
For example, there was a short clip of Colbert saying, "Yep folks...the pResident is the decider." Then they cut it off. The punchline--which was the hard-hitting truth about Junior being a myopic jerk who stays the course--despite reality--was not shown. It was cut out.
After watching the CNN segment, I became totally convinced that the White House approves all CNN stories and is allowed to edit and delete as they wish.
CNN went overboard to omit Colbert's best stuff. Conversely, they included clips, such as the "He's a decider" one--which appear flattering to Junior when taken out of context.
It made me sick.

14. the more CNN et al ignore us, the more we move to Stewart and Colbert |
|
They said yesterday on 60 minutes that Colbert has over 1 million viewers. If Stewart has a similar number, and I assume he does, that's half of what O'Rielly has and as many as all the other conservative infotainment/news cable shit.
We will make them irrelevant because they are.
I want Colbert and Stewart to have more viewers than O'Rielly and I want Bush's poll numbers in the 20s. When that happens, I'll know we survived 9/11 and the reactionary GOP and we can pull ourselves out of the mess created by those two things.
