New CBS poll: 71% think country is going in the WRONG direction.
Schieffer said it was the lowest ever in all the years CBS has conducted that poll.

Are we having fun yet?

The polls mean nothing, public opinion means nothing - it doesn't matter anymore what the people think, or how unhappy we are. After reading today about all the laws Bush has bypassed and his desire to prosecute journalists under the espionage act for telling the TRUTH...

...I have come to the conclusion we no longer live in a Democracy. We are trying to save something that's already gone, that was take away from us bit by bit, right under our noses and we were powerless to stop it. We can't guarantee a fair election anymore.

That sneaky motherfucker sitting in the Oval Office and his pack of godless criminal cohorts have stolen our country and have no intention of EVER giving it back.

7. No, he stole the presidency twice
but the corporations now favor the Democrats, 52% are now pro-dems, everyone is sick of them,
they will not be able to fudge a 2-5% margin this time, and people are working all the time
to monitor the voting machines, the crowd has figured out how the trick works so the
magician is out of luck this time.

18. As i say, it has gone beyond "manufacturing consent",
there is no consent in support of W and his wars no real consent and no manufactured consent. Most people no longer buy the MSM's lies. But most people don't know that - suspect maybe, but not know (after all, how can one know what everyone else is thinking if the media are misinforming us). All that's left is the illusion of consent - that's what the media help to manufacture: the illusion of consent.

6. Didn't hear that.
Just the part about direction of the country. Maybe others heard the entire poll report.

15. The wrong direction!?! Perish the thought. It sounds to me like a
few isolated malcontents. Probably liberal blogger-types, is my guess.
