4. I'm not a Lou Dobbs fan. Bright guy, very capable, but I don't care

for the "This is how I see it, I think you should probably see it that way, too" smell of a lot of his work there at the desk.

I will give him this: he has live human beings on his show for interviews and viewpoints, unlike Rush Limbaugh, who wusses out and barks at the public without any real challenge from anyone.

I'd prefer CNN relegate Lou to a late-night slot and give that 60 minutes to a rotation of reporters, especially Christiane Amanpour.

Amanpour should have gotten the job Kouric landed. She's one of the few journalists on television today that actually deserves the title.

I'd hate to lose her in the field because she does such dazzling reporting, but then again, the studios are filled with lesser lights. Couric and Dobbs to name just two.
