Police say phone company refused to help find missing SoCal child
CORONA, Calif. (AP) - Police in Corona say the Sprint telecommunications company refused to provide information to help locate a toddler who was in his father's S-U-V when it was stolen.

In response, Riverside County lawmakers today will consider a moratorium on permits for new Sprint cellular towers.

County Supervisor John Tavaglione proposed the moratorium. He says he wants to send the message to the provider that things need to be done differently when a child's life is at risk. As Tavaglione puts it, "The bureaucracy and the hoops that everyone has to jump through need to be minimized."

The drama began the morning of December 23rd. Jason Cochran buckled his ten-month-old son, Wade, into his car seat and ran into his house near Corona to get his three-year-old son, Blake. When Cochran came back outside, his beige Lincoln Aviator - and Wade - were gone.

1. You forgot the conclusion: the child was found...
....

The missing child and the car were found about two hours later--without getting the cellular data.

2. The guy probably had signed a 5 year contract...
...so Sprint figured they didn't have to do shit. Now if the guy would have called the White House.....:sarcasm:
