Two Colbert Classics- A Tribute
Edited on Tue May-02-06 09:53 AM by BullGooseLoony
I dredged up these two memorable Colbert pieces and am posting them here in honor of him.

The first, from a couple of months before the '04 election- Words Speak Louder Than Actions, some of the most incisive satire I have ever seen (might take awhile to load, but I swear that the video is there):

http://taint.org.nyud.net:8090/xfer/Daily%20Show%20-%20GWB%20Film%209-1-04.mov

The hardest-hitting I have ever seen Colbert. I think that this was Colbert's attempt to absolutely unload on Bush, before the election.

And, the second, from last year's White House Correspondents' Dinner- just in case you'd already forgotten, since Saturday, how unbelievably courageous Colbert is- Colbert lampooning Pickles' stand-up routine:

The WHCD coverage begins about 1/3 through that video, and Colbert's bit begins about 3/5 through.

Thank you again, Mr. Colbert. You are the King.

2. Excellent stuff.
Good to dredge up the old material in light of all the attempted rewriting of history by BushCo.

4. I can't get enough of either of them.
Especially the first. Don't know why I like that one so much.

One of the best among many great Colbert contributions to the Daily Show.
