CSPAN...Kucinich asked Bolton flat out if there are troops in Iran
He dodged the question by saying that "I'm with the State Dept, not the DoD", refusing to commit one way or the other.

DK pointed out that Bolton said that Hersh's claims of US involvement in Iran is "a work of fiction", and wondered why he can't comment now one way or the other.

Tune in CSPAN now if you aren't already.

1. Arrogant bastard.
I don't know about everyone else, but frankly, I'm getting tired of these evil, maniacal rat bastards telling us all to F*CK OFF every time they get the chance. These assholes must be stopped.

16. Hard to believe Bolton lists "diplomat" on his resume'
Diplomacy and tact seems his weakest suit.

that allow their representatives to be fearless without having to face losing their job.

He could say or do nearly anything and not face consequences.

14. No doubt
It's just extremely difficult to call someone fearless when they have absolutely no consequences to face, especially around here on DU with regards to our Congressmen. Wellstone was fearless because his re-election was not even close to a sure thing.

Are you fucking kidding me? Actually it is his brother, not Dennis. DK will do just fine.

I will always be in his debt for his standing up for us voting machine activist. I was the one that informed him about the bush junta threatening to use the Patriot Act against us.

The threats stopped.

11. There is no doubt in my mind, there are troops in Iran
The way Bolton laughed when the question was put to him by Kucinich. Then Bolton when on to say that he would not comment on troops in Iran, nor would he speculate about troops in Iran and then he said the part about "I'm with the State Dept., not the DoD". Just the way he danced around the question, not answering, leaves me with the feeling that we are in Iran. Oh my.

Not that I would have believed a denail by him either, but the fact that he dodged the question is pretty suspect.

31. Since when is incompetence an excuse?
Bolton just kept saying "I don't know" "I wasn't involved"
How the F**K did he get the job then?

Kucinich was excellent. He offered to walk Hersh's article over so Bolton could read it but Bolton couldn't be bothered....

Didn't congress use to grill people in hearings? This was one hour, totally controlled by Shays who let Dennis speak 2 times and then changed the subject. No wonder the Bush Administration is getting away with murder...literally.

I have a hard time trusting waxman too. I use to trust him until I found out he co-sponsored the "Iran Freedom Support Act". :wtf: And Conyer's voted for it too! I just don't get that!

36. I heard Dennis with Randi and it's scary: He said we're in Iran right now
just as we were in Iraq before anyone knew it.

He said this will be just like Iraq.

I'm thinking, except the Iranians will die defending their freedom from us and their religion.

We're gonna have lots of dead americans, and that's gonna be for generations if we don't stop the anti christ now.

Impeach.
