I'm frickin' tired of the "providing aid and comfort to the enemy" crap!

Hey, ya frickin' clown, try providing aid and comfort to our troops! I find it sad and unforgivable that the best and the brightest of our armed forces are sent into battle without adequate protection. For 3 FUCKING YEARS. Don't you find that to be almost incredulous to believe? Perhaps, you say, we don't have the money or the time or the manpower to provide it. My question to you is this: How many tax cuts have you passed since the "War On Ter-ruh" has begun? I counted at least three. And I really didn't research hard. I'm pretty sure that we could have bought body armor for the troops with a portion of just one of those tax cuts.

And how about providing a couple of other things while you are at it? Like an exit strategy from this hell on earth situation that you have sent our armed forces into?

http://www.d-n-i.net/lind/lind_11_04_05.htm

Or taking care of our veterans when they can no longer fight? Have you proposed a plan to assist those soldiers who have been permanently crippled while fighting your war? No. Instead, you cut their benefits.

http://www.counterpunch.org/lindorff11112003.html

Or how about not breaking the very laws which you are sending our troops abroad to protect? If you have been tapping my phone, I'm sure you're pretty bored by now. But I'm not bored. I'm pissed. Because for three frikkin' years, you haven't even bothered to go back after the fact and get a warrant, which was provided for over 27 yearsago in the FISA act.

So don't give me the bullshit argument about giving aid and comfort to the enemy if I don't march in lockstep to your ill-advised and disastrous war. The brave and valiant men of our armed services have fought many wars so that we can say things like, "You can support the troops but not the president." But if you want to prosecute me for saying things like that, you will have arrest the guy who said if first.

That's right. Tom Delay.

Sincerely,

kmla

1. Yep
If you oppose the Bush administration in just about anything you are considered a traitor and possible terrorist sympathizer in their eyes. "You're either for me or against me" says Mr. Bush.

4. One of the things that disturbed me most
about Bush's remarks yesterday was that Congressional critics would pay at the polls in November. What exactly does he mean by that? More rigged elections, no doubt.

6. Anytime a freep or pundit utters that, remind them Bin Laden wanted
Saddam out of Iraq. bush/Cheney & their neocon backup singers did just want Bin Laden wanted. And their pals profited from doing Bin Laden's bidding while killing US troops and innocent Iraqis.

So, just WHO is giving aid & comfort to the enemy? bushco and all those who support the neocon agenda!

7. Doober provided aid and comfort

to a foreign power by handing control of US foreign policy over to a Likud PAC while that party was in power in Israel.

He bypassed established organs of the state, including ones responsible for national security, in a drive to implement as foreign policy an ideological platform formulated by an organization with proven close ties to a political party in a foreign nation, in fact one with a great deal of significance to US interests.

Can you say "constitutional crisis" and "impeachable offense" ? I knew you could.

8. You are absolutely right
Excellent rant.

Even if critics were giving aid and comfort, which they are not, that seems a shade better than deliberately provoking and reinforcing/increasing all the negative attitudes that people already had.

Now, will somebody please pass the chicken nuggets? For some reason I have a craving . . .

10. I'm tired of it too
When Murtha and Moran had their town hall meeting towards the end a guy who was a general (so he said) was there and he said someone he knew (I think a family member?) lost their son in Iraq and he went on this bullshit too. Oh yes, I'm sooo sure that the Iraqi people (who are the insurgents by the way) are worried whether or not I'm speaking out against Bush.
