I know I would contribute. Not sure Stephen would want flowers, but that's cool. Still, can we be more creative? I have for a long time wanted a Stephen Colbert bobblehead doll for my desk. But, nothing shows up. Can we commission one? That we can purchase? Just a thought. I am open to anything. I think a 6-pack of Blatz Beer and an Old French Whore from Saturday Night Live 10 years ago is a good suggestion, but perhaps not the best. Yours?

12. Skinner: How did we make it happen for Helen? What do we need to do?
You guys are the only ones who can collect donations; and it's OK - in fact more than OK, what we want to do - to use it too for donations to DU. I have no problem with "an extra $10 for the new stylin' and profilin' DU home page," voluntary, with members' donation for Stephen. (Bet it would help, and strike now, while the iron is hot). Still want a bobblehead doll, though. (Not you, Skinner; Stephen. Sorry!).

I would buy them to give as gifts. I think Stephen would enjoy seeing them on bumpers everywhere- he would want some too!

17. Now I like that idea! Would there be copyright problems...
I'm only half-joking, as I've done some professional writing myself and take the issue seriously.

Make a big donation (money that would have been spent on flowers) to Habitat for Humanity... in Colbert's name... and a big card sent to his office for splash:)

Edited to say: Donation earmarked for Katrina survivors... just another jab at W... :)

Can you imagine how much he could do with a conference room full of stuffed teddy bears? Talk about "And, the number one threat: it's still... BEARS!"

25. I like it! The right suggestion. Maybe 500 bears at $5 apiece
And a matching gift to DU. Perfect! Surround this man with hibernation love. How do we do it? And what happens to those bears who only want a picanic basket (Mr. Ranger sir)?

We could donate to the San Francisco Zoo where Stephen Jr. lives.
