Is this true? That the only 2 groups Alito mentioned belonging to were
Federalist Society and this CAPS group on his job app?

That's it? 2 organizations?

And now he can't remember 1 of the 2?

2. This is true.
AND...Dick Durbin this morning said he couldn't even ask about The Federalist Society because every time he does, their side yells "McCarthyism!"

That should tell you a lot right there! They don't want either organization discussed, because it would actually tell us more about the man then we, us mere citizens upon which he will pass judgement, are allowed to know.

4. Why can't they bring up the Federalist Society?
Edited on Wed Jan-11-06 01:43 PM by bluethruandthru
Alito is listed as a member on the group's website. Is he ashamed of his membership?

On Edit: I'm wrong...he's listed under "participants and speakers". I guess we don't know for sure if he's a member!

5. Why can't we just refer to that group as the Fascist society?
Really, aren't they one and the same?

6. Durbin only said he couldn't ask him about it...
...because anyone who brings up The Federalist Society immediately gets hammered with calls of McCarthyism. Very interesting. And completely ignored since the exchange.

8. As a concerned citizen
I want to know more about this. I wonder if there's any way to send an e-mail to the judiciary committee as a group? Fat chance, huh?

This is his application for SC

it's a pdf - I would transcribe it here, but I'm too busy :puke:

http://www.c-span.org/pdf/alito_questionnaire1.pdf

on edit - figured out "select text"

Concerned Alumni of Princeton: This was a group of Princeton alumni. A document I recently reviewed reflects that I was a member of the group in the 1980s. Apart from that document, I have no recollection of being a member, of attending meetings, or otherwise participating in the activities of the group. The group has no current officers from whom more information may be obtained.

He doesn't remember! However, he remembered just fine when he was applying back in the 80's to work for Reagan!

Lying POS, (imho :) )

7. I see here in his application the he remembered that
he didn't remember anything about the organization. It' just stands way out to me that he didn't give any information about any of the other organizations he listed but remembered that he doesn't remember anything about CAP.

Man, my 12 yr old can tell bettter lies.
