As Rove indictment approaches, we are all clear that an immediate pardon
will be granted by * -- immediate, as in, after indictment, before trial.

Didn't Bush I do that for his convicted administration team?

1. That's only going to add to his problems
If he thinks he's in deep shit now, wait until he pulls out his Pardon Pen to write off the problem.

People dislike Junior more than Poppy. Also, people know things are worse with Junior, and they do not trust Junior any further than they can piss.

10. Not saying they won't get away with it.
Rove will drag it on forever, and he has already started moving away from Bush. Bush will wait till the very end, and officially declare himself to be a totally corrupt failure to all with his Pardon Pen.

Strangely, nothing will ever come of any of the criminal activities in this administration, due to some sort of Bush Family Authority over the United States Government. Democratic Leaders will drop it for the good of the country, and let it remain buried for another Bush generation to exploit.

Edited on Tue May-02-06 09:43 PM by QuestionAll
i fucking HATE it when the Democrats wimp out with that line- it's what Clinton did for poppy smirk after the christmas save pardon of caspar and the weinberger 7...
Had they actuallty DONE THEIR JOBS in regard to bush the elder- we NEVER would have had to endure fuckhead jr. and the new crusades.

this time around, we have to investigate and prosecute to the FULLEST EXTENT- For the GOOD of the Country.

everyone needs to speak up to their representatives.

11. You seem very certain, H20 Man...
I think it would be insane to do given the circumstances, but the level of arrogance and Bush*'s narcissism make it fathomable to me...

Why do you think, "not a chance?"

5. Nope.
Maybe after November. Maybe. If not then, maybe right before he leaves office.

If an Rove indictment happens, the WH will want to get as far as possible away from him. They'll dissociate Rove from Bush completely.

8. I don't think you understand, that is a very good reason to impeach...
Barbara Jordan was the one who first mentioned such a situation, and she was quoting James Madison:
http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/barbarajordanjudiciarystatement.htm

Impeachment criteria: James Madison, from the Virginia ratification convention. "If the President be connected in any suspicious manner with any person and there be grounds to believe that he will shelter him, he may be impeached."

14. Bush I pardoned his boys without threat of impeachment, though it may
have been just as he was leaving office - I am not sure.

I *like* your point...

12. The importance of
pardoning KKKarl as soon as possible is to prevent anything going before a court that might open more of the Pandora's box with respect to all the PNAC-ery that surrounds DeadEye.

16. Can't the American public demand no pardon.
We need to find a little unknown law that prevents a president that is being impeached from pardoning anyone.
