Stop President Bush's power grab Recently, the Boston Globe shockingly revealed that President Bush since taking office has claimed the right to ignore and violate more than 750 federal laws -- bills that Congress passed and he himself signed into law.
The scope of the Bush Administration's arrogant assertion of power is stunning, it is chilling -- and it simply must stop.
Sign my petition to President Bush now, demanding he end his arrogant assertion of unlimited Executive power.

President George W. Bush
As Americans, we are shocked by the Boston Globe's recent revelations that you have claimed the right to ignore and violate more than 750 federal laws -- bills that Congress passed and you yourself signed into law -- since taking office.
According to the Boston Globe, you have issued signing statements claiming the right to ignore more than 750 federal laws -- including "military rules and regulations, affirmative-action provisions, requirements that Congress be told about immigration services problems, 'whistle-blower' protections for nuclear regulatory officials, and safeguards against political interference in federally funded research."
The scope of this Administration's arrogant assertion of power is stunning, it is chilling -- and it simply must stop.
I urge you to end your arrogant assertion of unlimited executive power, and begin fulfilling your Constitutional mandate to "take care that the laws be faithfully executed" -- most especially those laws that you yourself signed into law.
