Karl Rove Indictment Long Overdue
On April 28, 2006, Jason Leopold, an investigative journalist who has consistently forecast up-coming events in the CIA leak case far in advance of the mainstream media, is citing "sources knowledgeable about the probe" in reporting that:

"Despite vehement denials by his attorney who said this week that Karl Rove is neither a "target" nor in danger of being indicted in the CIA leak case, the special counsel leading the investigation has already written up charges against Rove, and a grand jury is expected to vote on whether to indict the Deputy White House Chief of Staff sometime next week."

For most Americans, this bit of news will be viewed as long overdue.

The criminal indictment filed by the grand jury against Scooter Libby leaves no doubt about who leaked what and when. It states that on or about July 10 or July 11, 2003, Libby spoke to “Official A," who we now know is Rove, who advised Libby of "a conversation Official A had earlier that week with columnist Robert Novak in which Wilson’s wife was discussed as a CIA employee involved in Wilson’s trip."

1. If you watch the video of Wilson at the Press Dinner
he made it very very clear Rove was the leaker. IMHO he has inside info on this.

2. It seems likely
that Mr. Rove will face the music very soon. If any DUers are in Washington this fine morning, and are looking for something to do, please stroll over to the federal court, and just watch who comes and goes today.

3. Don't you wish
they had one of those traffic cams over there?

BTW: Sorry about the false alarm the other night. I thought the poster meant that the Wilson's were actually going to be on Hardball. Seems the intro was worded in such a way that it sounded like a live appearance. Oh well.

5. Please tell me that they finally got the goods on him
Just trying to keep my facts straight...
Have they got evidence that he did the leak?
Last I heard on these people was perjury.

It just creates a wierd situation when someone is convicted on perjury when the underlying crime was never established.

I mean, all fair in love and politics, but it would be nice to see a more direct link to the link than inconsistent testimoney

7. look at how Fitz operates on his past cases - perjury, and OOJ
can each carry 5 years for each count indicted and convicted on. Fitz usually uses this as a form of leverage to get higher ups or to go after more "series" charges(see former IL Gov. Ryans recent conviction/mafia's) - like the ones you were referring to.

Welcome to DU - be patient the storm is upon the WH.
