The Argentine president’s office said Kirchner completed arrangements for the meeting after a telephone call Tuesday evening with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
The spokesman said the meeting would be held in Puerto Iguazu near Argentina’s border with Brazil. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez later confirmed that he would attend.
Bolivia’s new leftist president, Evo Morales, recently announced that he was nationalizing the country’s natural gas industry, a controversial step that threatened to strain relations with Brazil.
