Bob Boudelang was MrBenchley's alter ego. Call him MrB's evil twin cousin.

His catchphrase was "so stop saying that." As in "I had a broken ankle because I slipped on ice and not because I was completely drunk and walked into the path of a city bus so stop saying that."

As far as I can remember, Bob was a GOP Team Leader; a life member of the NRA who, for some reason, wasn't allowed to own a gun; a Republican who extolled the virtues of hard work yet couldn't hold a job to save his life.

He heard that the government was going to pay people to test the effects of ingesting pesticides, so he started eating ant paste. Spread it on crackers. IIRC he was still eating ant paste the last time he posted; maybe this is what got him.

He was a good Christian but the preacher wouldn't let him into the church.

He had a Secret Service agent permanently assigned to watch him. The Secret Service agent fell in love with and married Bob's landlady.

He used to work at the Greyhound station as a janitor until he got fired for scaring off the ridership.

He then got a job at the fish market, taking the fish guts to the dumpster. The neighborhood cats just loved him after that.

He'd post all these weird supposedly anti-Democratic ravings which somehow all proved that the Democrats are right all along.
