Grrr. Bernie's Opponent For The Senate Is A Goddamn Liar

He says he'll be the real independent and that Bernie votes with the dems 98% of the time. He called for troops to be withdrawn from Iraq immediately, for healthcare for all Americans and he criticized the repukes for borrowing and spending. The truth is he's pro-life, even though he's trying to hide it, he's given loads of money to wingnut pukes and he's met with Cheney. He's known as Richie "Rich" Tarrent because he's the wealthiest man in the state, and he's already flooded the state with (for months now) expensive Hollywood produced serial bio ads.

I know it's Vermont and if you're a repuke you've got to moderate your message for the mostly liberal constituency but this guy takes the cake. Well actually, he has some stiff competition from former Adjutant General Martha Rainville who's running for Bernie's Congressional seat, and has a better chance of winning than Richie. She's been veering left for over a month now. Yesterday she called for Rumsfeld to resign.

I loath these pandering idiots. I fully expect that if either of them gets elected, they'll be good little repukes and tow the party line.

Tarrant that could be used against him, you'll be my hero. All I know is that he's the founder of a medtech business called IDX which he sold for over a billion dollars last year to GE and that one of his staffers had some sleazy website up that was supposedly non-partisan but was really anti-bernie. The other thing I heard is that he tried to claim his Florida home as his homestead or something like that.
