Moussaoui: "I won"
http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/05/03/moussaoui.verdict/index.html

I thought this statement was extremely amusing, given that he'll be in a small cell for the rest of his life, with rapists, murderers, etc.

What did he "win," exactly?

3. I'm telling you that guy is crazy. He's not evil genius crazy. He just
plain crazy. His terrorist bosses didn't even want to use him, so you know something is wrong when that happens.

6. He gives every indication of being a paranoid schizophrenic.
In addition to being a scapegoat, that is.

8. i agree. either he was always crazy or our government did something to him
Edited on Wed May-03-06 05:27 PM by bullimiami
that broke him. I dont think any part of it is funny.
they had him, they are capable of torture, murder and who knows what else and they had much to gain from this trial.

i wonder what might come out if he was really looked at by honest doctors and psychiatrists.

16. My understanding is that he has a mother
...and sibling with schizophrenia ... doesn't mean he has (or would have) serious mental illness ...but a familial link certainly exists.

5. He's batshit CRAZY, poor nitwit.
Maybe they'll give him some meds and help in the jail. And maybe the media will stop covering this poor nut like he's actually SOMEBODY....

12. Yup, he would have said he won if he got the DP anyway
He's led a trite and meaningless life, and he is a very bad person.

Hope he enjoys his stay in federal PMITA prison.

15. He lost
He wanted to be a martyr for what he did and we're not giving him the opportunity.

17. actually justice won
For many of us who thought our legal system
was pretty much in shreds, 9 jurors proved that
it can still work today. Life in prison is
a long sentence for a man who wasn't directly
involved in 9/11.

18. He'll have plenty of time to think about his win...in prison.
I'm glad they didn't return the death penalty, and make the MoFo a martyr. Now he can wait a few decades for those virgins he's dreaming of.

19. Just another lie from a liar.
No you lost, no pass go, no get any kind of 'reward'. Now you have to sit in a prison cell for the rest of your life in solitude and deprivation. Good luck with that.
