Dems Lead 54% to 39% in Congressional Poll--Gallup
<snip>
Gallup's latest midterm election update shows the democratic party continuing to hold a strong lead over Republicans among registered voters.

<snip>

Democrats lead Republicans 54% to 39%.....Historically, the generic ballot has proven to be an accurate predictor of the overall US House when asked just prior to past midterm elections.

<snip>

louis c: If you want to see the likes of Rumsfeld, Rove, Cheney and even Bush himself squirming, under oath, before a house committee, let's make these numbers work.

1. I'd like to see these same poll numbers a week before the Nov election
We can't let up! WE have to keep our elected officials and the media's feet to the fire.

8. Not me. I wanna see a wider gap than this. Something like 68 to 32
would make me feel more comfortable. Maybe that's asking a bit much, but we need to widen the gap we have now. I just hope our party doesn't think it can cruise on neutral with this kind of a rating. We gotta go for the jugular and stop being so careful.

2. How many seats can the Dems get?
We will need at least a 25 seat net gain in order to govern.

4. I'm hoping for the same thing too.
I'd like to see the Dems get 35+ (net gain) house seats, giving us a clear majority.

5. Don't trust those numbers -- If they are correct
then I ask why DeWine (OH-R) has a 10-point lead over Brown in the Senate race.

Ohio is balanced - 1/2 Illinois and 1/2 Indiana.

DeWine is a piece of shit.

6. That's in general - results favor incumbents in individual races
Can't give you a cite, but was on one of the news shows last night, I think.
