Poll question: Will Bush invade Iran just before the midterm elections?
as a way of trying to rally the country against those Iraqi Nuclear Weapons and avert GOP losses in November?

1. No, a more likely scenario would be Iran would attack us.

5. judging by the increase in fighter jet traffic over our neighborhood
I'd say it may be sooner. We live near MacDill and the last time there were this many flights over our house was right before and during the buildup to Iraq. Of course, there could be another explanation... but it has been very quiet for quite some time and now all of a sudden there are several a day.

It feels as if this administration will strike Iran. Maybe even before summer.

I think there is a danger that Iran might decide to co-opt Bush's pre-emption strategy. U.S. military personnel are more vulnerable to attack the more Bush and Rice rattle their sabres.

Iraq was supposed to be "a cakewalk." It definitely wasn't. Iran is likely to be far more difficult to subdue.

Where is Richard Lugar's voice? It is beholden upon the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to publicly condemn the foolhardiness of a strike on Iran. He rose up against Reagan regarding apartheid in South Africa and the corrupt Marcos regime in Phillippines, and he needs to speak up forcefully against this president regarding Iran.

Absent a concentrated, public objection by party stalwarts, I think Bush attacks Iran by summertime.

11. I wasn't sure before today, but then I heard Hannity and posted here.
He reads the talking points more clearly than anyone else; Rush and Savage are nuts; Laura and Sean are Rove's mouthpieces; Liddy and O'Reilly are pompous twits. So when Sean speaks clearly (if stupidly), know where it's coming from.
