Anybody notice that "comfort to our adversaries" got scrubbed from Yahoo?
Five minutes ago I was reading Buzzflash's byline, clicked on their hyperlink for "Bush Pulls the McCarthy Card, Warns Dems and Patirots Not to Challenge His Utter Incompetence on Iraq. Claims He Will Call Critics Traitors and Enablers of the Enemy. Hey, George, Your Quote of the Day should be, "I have met the enemy and he is me." 1/11"

I then read the Yahoo piece about Bush telling his critics that they were giving "comfort to our adversaries." Astounded, I lifted it, used it on DailyKos, and suddenly the quote changed to "President Bush said Wednesday that congressional hearings to investigate his domestic eavesdropping program will be good for democracy as long as they don't give secrets away to the enemy. Bush was initially opposed to having the program investigated in a public format, but made it clear that he is resigned to open hearings that are scheduled to begin in coming weeks."

This is what it must feel like to be Rush on drugs.

I had just included this in the opening paragraph of this week's Blog Box column.

Thanks, Yahoo yahoos!

On Edit: It's still in this Yahoo story, though--

5. I'd linked Bush's comment to overseas troops' praise of Murtha

DailyKos is being scoured right now for hint of any Bushy missteps. I'll bet Rove is running on No-Doz, coffee and adrenelin these days.

4. Right, he used that quote during the "Uncensored" Q&A today.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=108620&mesg_id=108928

That was his response to the ass-kiss question of ""Is the justice department going to follow through on the damaging leaks, which were perpetrated for partisan political gain and which harm our national security?"

6. Listen to Ray Taliafero, KGO, archived
Ray was all over Bush today for his comment about WH critics giving aid and "comfort to our adversaries."

As of 8 minutes ago, it's apparently not a comment Bush wishes to showcase any longer.

10. Didn't I read something earlier
that said that democrats who opposed his policies would pay for it at the polls in November, or words to that effect, or was I just dreaming that? I didn't see that reference in the speech I read either.
