bush the idiot's expressions when listening to Colbert |
|
He looks angry, arrogant, crafty and unbelieving that anyone would have the courage to do what Colbert was doing. Colbert put it all on the table in front of bush and the rest of his cronies. Showing them that people were still asking these questions. Showing them that they could not keep hiding the truth.
many or most of the media in attendance are as guilty as bush. This was reflected in Colbert's line 'i hold these people in contempt too mr. president'. a brilliant line that reflects how Colbert feels, while reflecting what bush probably feels in his gut towards those who are too weak to stand up to him.
Bush's expression's show how truly evil he is, while totally weak without the Presidency.
Colbert was brilliant and funny. Only people wanting to hear the truth and who have some intelligence would understand the routine. Anyone saying this went too far is UnAmerican. This was one of the most American speeches heard in a long time.
Bravo Colbert. Bravo to a true, true hero with more courage than the cowards and traitors that now critisize the speech. These critics should hang their heads in shame. They have enabled so much destruction through their inaction.
What bullshit - bush was hurt by the speech. People are being killed by his policies. Should'nt the moron-in-chief be reminded by a true Patriot, since the sniveling cowards in the editorial pages of the WSJ, Washington Post, NYTimes, Fox News, NBC, ABC, et al, have their own treacherous heads up their asses (or bush's)?

1. I've spent time over the last few days musing about what exactly was said |
|
through *'s facial expressions, and the best I can come up with is "I could have you killed, vermin."

7. this speech was truly a masterpiece |
|
its like a carefully woven tapestry. There is more brilliance in it everytime you listen to it.
that's why i'm pissed off when i read some idiot's criticism of a speech they probably didn't understand, or wanted to hide from.
it would be great if we could somehow collect a montage of different camera angles to show how different people in the room reacted. There were some still photos in another thread that showed how much some people were laughing. And you can hear the laughter and the applause in the ABC feed. You can bet the bush supporters were scowling and trying to keep people from responding. i would bet in a 'free room' more would have laughed.
most audience members were probably in shock to hear the truth in a room with bush anyway.

15. why all the questions from a certain about whether it was funny?... |
|
That question detracts from the purpose of the presentation.

3. Au contraire, mon frere.... |

Bush didn't even turn red or stomp out - although Laura seemed reluctant to shake Steven's hand...
On the other hand, I am pretty sure that the IRS has ol' Stevie-boy high up on their audit list...really, really, really high up....

Bush was 100% composed. His performance was almost as good as Colbert's.

8. i'm not saying bush lost it |
|
i'm saying that based on watching him in the past during the debates, on tv, etc., i would say that his facial expressions showed that he was pissed, indignant, and angry at what he was being shown.

when the war was brought up when he scowled and shook his head. The rest of the time he was cool as a cucumber (possibly because he had no idea wtf Colbert was talking about) :silly:

9. Bush looked like he was going to jump out of his seat from anger |
|
a number of times. Face it. He enjoyed a lot of Colbert's "audition" because it ridiculed the press.

12. when mad as hell, some of us can supress our feelings |
|
Bush as his aide said was ready to burst. His controlled facial expressions showed anger and control both. He knows he can't rub someone out w/0 a tie in to terrorism. Sure he is working on that. Would have loved to have looked at BUsh's faces , when COlbert expressed a desire to have Frank Rich rubbed out for BUsh by some of Colbert's friends. Probably Bush was thinking not a bad idea. For Colbert to express such ideas. Jon Steward's calling Colbert 'ballastic."? Right on.. Think we might need help COlbert ,because who owns Comedy Central. Bushies have many methods of getting even.

13. The entire text will be chiseled in Granite in many places in America.. |
|
Colberts face may not make it to Mt Rushmore but his words will be repeated for a 100000000 years or ore.
There will be Plays using his words.....
The man is a HERO....He is David ....and Bush... Goliath....

16. * was on the other end of the execution process. Colbert slayed him |
|
and slayed him publicly and on camera and on tape. It's posterity.
After all the executions that * happily processed while governor of Texas, I'm sure he never expected to be strapped in and given his punishment (albeit only a taste of what he really deserves).
