What was your favorite Colbert line?
I think mine were a tie vote. Loved the comment about "Welcome to DC Mayor Nagin. Another chocolate city. But with a white marshmallow center and crust of corruption..or something to that effect. And. the comments about speak into your table number should you want another drink.
RUnners up, giving Scalia the Italian salute and the comment about Joe Wilson being America's favorite husband since Desi Arnez. what is yours?

It just sums it all up neatly.

6. It was a brilliant line, but his performance was more than words...
Just drawing attention to Wilson and Plame the way he did was awesome, and throwing out Fitzgerald's name, too! Bitch-slapping McCain for the whore that he is.

And that book about the intrepid reporter that takes on the administration, you know, fiction...

Turning to stare Bush right in his red face over and over....

Well, it's all been said before. Colbert! :)

16. My favorite as well.
Reminds me of Parenti's "i say radical things because reality is radical".

27. That was my favorite too, along with........
his smack down of McCain. The one where he was welcoming McCain "back into the fold" and said "Maverick" McCain could stay at his house when he went down to speak at Bob Jones University. There was a giant sucking sound in the audience when he said that. They were aghast that anyone would say such a thing!

7. One of my favorites:
"I stand by this man. I stand by this man because he stands for things. Not only for things, he stands on things. Things like aircraft carriers and rubble and recently flooded city squares.

And that sends a strong message, that no matter what happens to America, she will always rebound -- with the most powerfully-staged photo ops in the world."

11. Mine was down there too :)
I totally missed it the first time around. I was probably still laughing or gasping at his previous line.
Finally caught it on Randi's show.

I hadn't been a Colbert fan before that. I thought his satire, like Archie Bunker, was going over the reich-wing's heads.

Maybe now they've figured out that he's satirizing them? :D

12. I watched his show occasionally
I thought he was funny, but I always liked Stewart better.

I honestly would have never seen this coming and obviously, neither did they, lol.

it was about the Rocky movies....

SC said oh, wait, he lost in the first movie. I took it as
a reference to the first election they stole.

20. It was all so good, I'd have a hard time picking out the best line.
Every time I do I'm doing an injustice to the other great things Colbert said.

I vote for the whole enchilada.

Mr. President,
I wish you hadn't made the decision to quickly, sir. I was vying for
the job. I think I would have made a fabulous press secretary. I have
nothing but contempt for these people. I know how to handle these
clowns.
