George W. and the Skeletons in his Closet -- Juicy Pravda Hit Piece

Six pages of fun! The Russians are pissed at Cheney's speech yesterday, so the claws are coming out. Oh yeah, baby!!!!

George W. Bush has a crowd of skeletons in his closet

George W. Bush

<snip>

The Bush family spin is that the governor quit drinking cold turkey on his 40th birthday, straightened out by the love of a good woman (his wife, Laura). But the explosive element here is not booze. It's sex, drugs and hypocrisy. Frankly, it doesn't bother anybody if candidates have partied, even a lot. But George Bush Jr. makes a big point of traveling around the country and lecturing students on staying celibate, sober and drug free. He does not permit the option of partying hard until you're 40 and then stopping.

George Bush was so worried about his past that he hired a private detective to investigate himself. According to an unnamed insider quoted on MSNBC, Bush "isn't terribly thrilled" about what they found, though no one is spilling the details yet.

Sexual relations

Bush says to reporters that he has been faithful to his wife. However, he was married at 31 and makes no claim of virginity before that point, even as he lectures the youth of today to remain celibate.

There are two credible reports from women who say they had affairs with George Bush, Jr. One alleged affair took place after Bush was married, on business trips to Los Angeles; in the other case, Bush was single but the woman was married at the time. Neither woman is willing to go public with further details, including their names, which is why we aren't publicizing these incidents more, but in our editorial opinion they are credible, and the details that these woman have provided check out.

1. How about having to do one year in community service in 72?
I do not how much is true but bush bio does talk about the time he "helped out"
@ an inner city youth project for exactly one year.

http://www.realchange.org/bushjr.htm

COCAINE:

According to a new book, three independent sources close to the Bush family report that Governor Bush was arrested in 1972 for cocaine possession, and taken to Harris County Jail, but avoided jail or formal charges through an informal diversion plan involving community service with Project P.U.L.L., an inner city Houston program for troubled youths at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Houston's dirt-poor Third Ward. (In another new book, reporter Bill Minutaglio, writes that the year of community service was arranged by the Governor's father, ex-president Bush, after he caught Bush Jr. driving drunk.)
That year certainly is out of character with the rest of Bush Jr.'s life. Before and after 1972, he was a rich, hard drinking playboy. Suddenly, and only that one time in his life, he worked for a liberal charity in an inner city ghetto. As soon as the year was over, he resumed his previous pattern and has done no charity work since.

The author of this book, J. H. Thompson, has some interesting scandals of his own. Of course, his own flaws don't disprove what Bush did or didn't do, but the way Thompson has responded certainly undercuts his credibility. First, he admitted to a reporter from Slate Magazine that he made up at least one detail, that one of his informants spat tobacco into a styrofoam cup during their (phone!) interview.

Then, reporters -- or perhaps Bush campaign operatives -- found that the author apparently is an ex-convict, on parole for hiring a hit man to kill a former boss. That doesn't mean he can't research, of course, but Thompson's credibility suffered greatly as he claimed it was someone else, despite incredible similarities between his resume -- including unexplained job gaps during the prison years -- and confirmation from his parole officer that indeed, the author named J. H. Thompson is the one who did time.

Edited on Thu May-04-06 11:22 AM by madrchsod
i don`t doubt that he has had affairs. the way he acts around women today reminds me of a frat boy who used to get the ladies back in the day but now he has grown old and lost his appeal. georgie wasn`t successful or appealing enough to get a new trophy wife so he had to stay with the pickle.

i should use preview more often

5. Hey, Pravada - how about the fact that he's a documented mass murderer.
Print that. You've got lots of picutures of tortured and dead bodies to prove it.

Never Forget: George W. Bush willfully violated National Security to cover-up his willful launch of a war of aggression and illegal occupation of Iraq.

8. Yeah-- that's a little detail they left out.
I noticed that at the end of the article, there's a Pravda Forum where people can discuss the articles.

I wasn't really ready for the America-hatred expressed by the posters there. But guess I shouldn't be surprised.

12. He was also willing to destroy the CIA office responsible
for monitoring one of the countries he himself called part of an axis of evil.

I guess they're going after the sex stuff because that's what the pubbies used to "git Clinton."

They need to goo after the TREASON.

So does his own corrupt party.

6. These are NOT the KGB files. All familiar 60-Minutes stuff.
Edited on Thu May-04-06 11:28 AM by leveymg
When the Russians release the real files -- the materials about kiddie prostititution in the Bush Sr. White House, and BushCo's foreknowledge of 9/11, and all the rest -- it'll be leaked into the European press.

Even that probably won't come as much of a surprise to some of us here.

Kremlin says Cheney attacks on Russia "incomprehensible"

The Kremlin on Thursday rejected as "completely incomprehensible" remarks by U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney that Russia was backsliding on democracy and using its vast energy supplies to bully its neighbours.

"The speech of Mr. Cheney in our opinion is full of a subjective evaluation of us and of the processes that are going on in Russia. The remarks ... are completely incomprehensible for us," said Kremlin deputy spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Cheney, in remarks that could cause tense moments when Russian President Vladimir Putin hosts his first summit of the G8 industrialised nations in July, earlier told Baltic and Black Sea leaders in Vilnius that Moscow should return to the path of democratic reform.

then it might mess up our chances to nuke Iran. Very clever, Mr. Cheney!

back in the 50s of course it was synonymous with "propaganda."
Now we have our own multiple "pravdas."

or weekly world news.

It's a bunch of crap.

13. This part is priceless:
    Celebrity Political Date

During his flight training, Bush's celebrity showed in a couple of ways. Most famously, President Nixon sent a jet to pick up the young flight student for a date with his daughter Tricia. Alas, the potential political marriage and dynasty was not to be.

How she must have hated dating *! I had not heard this before.

I believe that Tricia told daddy to stick it where the sun don't shine. She always did seem like a practical girl.

14. Early in his public life...
he was pro abortion (there is a quote in the Dallas Morning News). He should be because one of his flings needed one. I believe he was single at the time and Poppy and Mom didn't approve. He had a reputation in Midland and by Midland standards was considered a catch. Word is he bagged a lot-skank or otherwise.

I never bought that story at all. Laura put her foot down and I suspect there was a Come to Jesus family meeting.

I use to really hate him, but after reading Bush on the Couch...I still hate him, but I might have a twing of pity for him....as he is leaving office.
