Joe Klein on Al Franken Now - I'm Turning OFF While He's On |
|
Joe Klein has made some nasty ass remarks about democrats - Why Franken has Klein and Fineman on is a mystery. Two of the biggest media-whores in the business. Both are or were so-called democrats who have gone over to the dark side, but play both sides for the money.
So spew from Klein:
"Such sobriety seems beyond the reach of most Democrats. They make fools of themselves even when they speak the truth. The party chairman, Howard Dean, was not inaccurate when he said, "The idea that we are going to win this war ... is just plain wrong." If Dean had added the word militarily, most generals would agree with him. The trouble is, Dean -- as always -- seemed downright gleeful about the bad news. He seemed to be rooting for defeat." <12/16/05>
"No doubt "solutions" was a slip--but the notion that "Democratic ideas" might not be an oxymoron represented one small step forward for the perpetually benighted Donkey party.
<...>
"There are problems. These are Democrats, after all." <11/21/05>

1. I find it funny people are willing to shut off Franken but not Tweety. |
|
I'm not talking about the OP in particular..but I always see messages about how people can't stand the guests on Franken's show yet they stomach watching Tweety and reading Drudge along with surfing Freeperville.
Why do we hold our own to a higher standard than the fuckin GOP-Talking point mutherfuckers.
I see posts about people listening to limpballs, watching Faux and I wonder why even listen?
Just a thought that came to me.

I don't listen to those fools, either, because I don't like to torture myself.
Some say that they like to listen to both sides. That I don't understand. One minute listening to the dark side gets my blood pressure up.

Yeah, but when a few will go listen and inform the rest of us who would never listen to Limpballs, or visit Drudge, isn't that a good thing?
Like the line on Drudge about Fox ratings vs The Colbert Report with no link. I appreciate that.
As far as Frankens guests, they are the exact ones we see on Matthews, Olberman, Fox, Meet The Press etal...It's fucking overkill. Fineman and Klein especially play both sides depending on which "TV or radio" show their on. Worst kind of whores.

2. I respect your point of view |
|
but I like to listen to various points of view and perspectives. I find it helps to solidify mine. Franken will also have a dittohead on later. The borderline polite disagreements are good discourse.
However, I love Joe Klein; the Arkansas Razorback Center back in the 80's - probably not the one you are referring to.

9. He was a monster at Center |
|
Back in the good old SWC days, he played against Houston's Akeem Alojuwan (sp), it was billed as Akeem the Dream vs FrankenKlein. He transferred to Arkansas from Notre Dame. I graduated in 79 but lived in Fayetteville when he played at UA in the early 80's. Part of my good ole days.

10. I Also Think Since Franken Is Considering a Senate Run |
|
he has to have certain beltway "elite" press members as friends or good acquaintances. Of course if he does run, they will turn around and stab him in the back so fast - Al won't know what hit him.
