SCANDAL : Rove got a Cunningham-style deal when he sold a house.
Rove's Unexplained Personal Wealth by citizendc Tue May 02, 2006 at 07:17:07

Have you ever wondered how a man who owns a $1,500,000 house in DC, a $1,000,000+ house in Florida and a $48,000 cottage in Texas manages to survive on $161,000 a year federal salary? It's odd.

Would it raise questions that same man had sold a property to a shell company controlled by his former business partners and that man made between $250,000 and $750,000 profit?

Maybe it would raise further questions if those former business partners that bought the property were raking in millions of political dollars from the Bush-Cheney presidential campaign, the RNC and multiple other Republican candidates? Would that just be a coincidence? Well, those are a string of coincidences that happened to Karl Rove.

2. It's obvious Rove is about to take a hit about something, whether
Fitzgerald is about to indict him, or some other dirty deed Rove has been a party to is coming back to haunt him, SOMETHING is indeed in the air. And it's foul, you can be sure of that.

Rove's reduction in responsibilities was done solely to minimize exposure when it all hits the fan.

Perhaps it's this sneaky house sale that will ignite the flame, who knows, but one thing is for sure: something is about to slap Rove.

5. What House did he sell to special interests?
Was it the White House or the House of Representatives? Maybe both?

4. This is incredibly hard to believe
It must be some sort of series of odd coincidences. rove and the rest of the crew in the white house are salt of the earth, god's gift to America. They are honest, decent, humble men who only want what's best for America. Maybe he's just incredibly adept at money management, just like george bush. I think this is just another librul attempt to smear a great man.

7. Hey, Bosshog
Is it the same kind of odd coincidence that just happens to favor the Republican party when Diebold's machines screw up? Really strange, isn't it, that the coincidences always favor them.

8. Totally cosmic
It will really be sad for them if they actually are true believing "christians" when it comes to knock on the pearly gates. That's when the coincidences will evaporate.

How can this be...Does he have a book out, about how to live like a billonaire on a 161 thousand dollars a year and pay no taxes?

I'd like to read it.

9. And his Florida House.
He paid $165,000 for the lot in late 2002.

http://www.waltonpa.com/ (assessor link)

a comparable size lot with no view a block away from Karl's house is listing for $1,295,000

http://www.rosemarybeach.com/realestate/homesites_listings.asp?search=1,600000|1500000

It's possible he made a really good investment. But at this point I think they'll excuse us for not just taking their word on it.

Besides, I remember what a huge scandal it was when Hillary made $150,000 on cattle futures. So this is a fair question.
