30. I just heard it on AAR!!! I didn't know it was Ray McGovern. He was

wonderful. He did what the press should have done a long, long time ago! He would not let Rummy squirm out of it. There was no giggling at Rummy's stupidity, the way the press usually does.

Ray said 'I'm asking about a LIE and I want the TRUTH'. He said 'you told us that there was a connection between Al Queda and Iraq, there wasn't'. Them Rummy tried to use the Al Zarqawi myth, but Ray said 'Zarqawi was in the North of Iraq, the part that Saddam Hussein did not control'. Rummy tried again 'He was in Baghdad ... ' Ray said 'yes, to get a wound taken care of. Look, these people know the deal, why don't you just tell the truth'.

I'm paraphrasing, but that's the part I heard. I thought it was a protestor, then Ed Schultz said it was Ray McGovern.

The press is being led by the people. They are being forced to cover the truth ~ it seems they can no longer go anywhere without a citizen letting them know that WE know they are liars.

Remember when I went to attend the Downing Street Memo Hearings on Capital Hill? I'll never forget when a year plus ago as I saw Ray Mcgovern, Cindy Sheehan, and Joe Wilson in the room testifying. I had just finished talking with Congressman Conyers outside of the hearing room and I remember when I saw those three and heard what they were saying. I knew then that they were all going to do great things and that that event and events to come were going to be turning points in these awful times. This was before anyone knew who Cindy Sheehan was, or there was open talk of Joe Wilson and his wife other than DU. And Mr. Mcgovern was someone who just earlier I had the opportunity to talk with in the Rayburn house building cafeteria as he lunched with Tom Hayden. It was just one of those intuitive feelings I had at that time. And today when I heard about Ray challenging Rumsfeld I shouted with a big smile in my car and knew that they are working hard, fulfilling their destiny and sparking the flame to wake this country up.

We are all worried about rapidly approaching hurricane season. The folks in FEMA trailers will be totally fucked if another hurricane hits... we ALL will be fucked! The levees are not fixed, I still don't have a new roof on the house nor any of the major damage repaired... I'm getting tired of being bit by bugs every night in my bedroom.
