The "rounding up" has begun.
The American middle class, a product of FDR's vision, has much in common with all immigrants to our country.

Both of our groups are hard working and loving of their families, while generally ascribing to the power of the greater good.

We are congenial and friendly when we are interacting with each other, since we share common, every-day experiences: kids, jobs, our own homes, community.

We aren't forced to contribute, we want to contribute. If we better our community's families, we're all helped.

So, why are these two compatible, heavily populated groups, not banding together into a political powerhouse to topple a regime that would destroy both of them?

For starters, one group is routinely "rounded up" and the other cheers it on.

3. The concept of Mexican immigrants being "the enemy " is a false

concept which keeps us all from coming together politically, which would be a force with which to be reckoned.

I hope there some savvy Dem candidates out there who can capitalize on all the values we share.

BTW, thanks for your response, it's gratifying to hear that others see today's events with a similar view. MKJ

4. Latinos have been part of my life for 60 years. I cannot
imagine life without them. They are part of this country, just as all races are. That is what I have loved about America , the diversity. To me, patriotism is all of us working together, for the good of the country.Although this cabal of thugs have made me rethink what this country has become. They try so hard to divide all of us. I too, hope we can unite against the real "enemy".
