Boy! they certainly are out in force today |
|
They being freepers.. both here at DU and on CSPAN. I'm really getting sick of these I'm a democrat but, callers. I just wish these gutless cowards didn't claim to be democrats. I mean really, it's has to be shame and fear that prevents from revealing their true selves because they can't really think were that stupid can they?

And the moderators know they lie. Democrats may do that from time to time but not every damn day like repukes.

2. Don't be to hard on them |
|
They are only following their leaders. Too dumb/insecure/intoxicated with Kool Aid to have an original thought.

3. It's only tactics...they KNOW that Dems are more credible, so ... |

people will listen. If they open up with "Hi, I'm a loyal Republican..." they've lost most of their audience right there.
The Freeper strategy for credibility is:LIE ABOUT WHAT YOU REALLY ARE

4. Just remember - freepers provide a lovely opportunity to educate |
|
If they say something ignorant (oops - did I say "if"? :P )...let's start over.
When they say something ignorant, I try to respond logically, with facts and sources and a calm demeanor. Not for their sake, but for the sake of the lurkers. Because maybe someone will learn something new.
Although once in a while when I'm grumpy I get a little feisty with them. But I try hard :)

8. I really think we should.. .like saying |
|
I'm a republican but I'm really concerned about Alito and how much more power he'll give to the executive office. With all the scandals recently, I'm ashamed to call myself a republican. Things aren't looking too good for my party these days and I'm afraid that the dems will overtake congress in 2006 and the Presidency in 08. If we give the pres more power now How will we be able to take it away when the dems are back in office?
How does that sound, think they'll buy it?

Is there a poll out (not internet voting) on the general public support or lack of support for this nomination?? Anybody know??

7. It's a standard propaganda trick |
|
We couldn't keep a straight face saying "I'm a Republican but..." I'd puke and probably pronounce it RePuke anyway and spoil the whole effect.

It does get old though.
Try to ignore them. It's best not to feed into their distractions.

12. If I hear that Ted Kennedy |
|
"is an embarrassment to the Democratic party" one more time, I'll explode. Several callers saying this, and then offering no reason why.
I am so proud of Ted Kennedy, and wish we had more like him in the senate.

Obviously many Americans are so ignorant that they will buy into this kind of BS. Please call in with your fake repuke calls. At least we are not laying down. Don't get mad get even. I also ask all or us to write ltte's and another subvetive idea of mine is to enter things like abramoff and nsa spying,(republican embarassments)into search engines that show what others are searching for. Please take this battle to them. If we do it from the grassroots, the blades will eventually have to come along. I think the fake calls are billiant. Let's make them look as ignorant as they actually are.
