For all that is said about Dell around here.... |
|
I have to give major kudos! They just awarded my daughter a $20,000 scholarship ALONG with a new laptop computer, printer and case. She was only 1 of 200 kids that received a scholarship. That is a pretty hefty chunk of change to hand out to deserving kids.:applause:

1. Congratulations to your daughter... |
|
...I'm sure the award was richly deserved.
I only hope they didn't give her a Dell. Maybe she can get the value in cash instead. :)

She hasn't received it yet--the paperwork has to be processed and she will most likely receive her Dell in June.:)

2. Congrats to your daughter! |
|
That really helps a lot. My kids got scholarships, but they still have college debt to contend with. That is great.

This scholarship, added with her others, will completely pay for her college. She is very fortunate.

11. Most of the ones she received |
|
because she has a 4.0 GPA, tons of community service, and high test scores. Many of the larger scholarships are gone for the kids starting in the Fall, however, there are lots of little ones out there that spend as well as the big ones. Talk to her guidance counselor at school for a heads up on the local ones and www.fastweb.com lists TONS of national scholarships. There are other sites available for scholarships as well. I have to say I was sweating it until she nailed this one. Now it is all paid for, however, when she goes to pharmacy school we will have to look around then...but she will have some leftover that will transfer.
