If there wasa cool image of Colbert on the front to go with it. Generic black and white isn't worth the $$$ IMO.

soon there will be fancier T-shirts with images, I'm sure. I posted what I found so far, this may be the first line of T-shirts specifically referring to his performance.
While you do have a point, I also think there is something good about just having the simple statement on it, rather than an image.
A T-shirt with a picture of Colbert is more like an advertisement for Colbert, whereas the stark statement "Colbert Was Right" draws attention to what he did and shows that the wearer of the shirt agrees with it.

If they turn and look away from the picture they'll never get the truthiness of the text.
Actually, my old Daily Show shirt worked quite well. The back had "The most important television news program, ever" on it. People asked what was on the front and they were confronted by a big daily show logo.

I'm not allowed to use the name Colbert, so I'm not sure it's quite kosher for them to use it either...only he (Colbert) has a right to make money off his name or some such explanation. http://www.cafepress.com/scarebaby/1412071

Sort of cheerful, almost, in a kind of graveyard-humour way.
I don't know what the finer legal points are for a T-shirt like the one I posted... it's not using any trademarks, just a surname that is in the public consciousness. If I were the entrepreneur, I'd try to get his permission & do some sort of licensing arrangement. I don't know the shirt makers have done anything like that. II just found the link and posted it, since it is "on topic".

8. I want one with Colbert on it that says: You can't handle the truthiness. |
