No flag on US team's bus for security reasons

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - The official team bus to be used by the United States during the World Cup will not bear a flag for security reasons.

The 32 official buses were presented Thursday in Frankfurt and the other 31 buses have large national flags of the their teams painted on rear sides.....

The bus is predominantly blue in color.

Hmmm...32 buses, one blue one has no flag.

I'm sorry, but unless Al Quaeda has been recruiting the likes of Yosemite Sam and Wyle E. Coyote, this scheme will fool noone.

Perhaps they can improve the deception further by painting, "This here isn't the US team's bus. No sir. Uh uh." on the side.

6. Not the first time.

I remember back in the '70s, when my dad was working for the US Army in Germany and the Baader Meinhof gang were planting bombs under US servicemen's cars, the Army recalled the green license plates with "USA" on them and issued German-looking plates.

Never mind that all the cars were massive American Fords, Chevys and Buicks that weren't available on the German market.

The same guys must be running the World Cup squad's security.
