FAUXnews flunkie Wallace : Move along now. Nothing to see here.
Edited on Fri May-05-06 01:24 PM by jefferson_dem
This was just part of the "planned WH shake-up". Porter has done a good job and now it's time for someone else move in... So says an "unidentified high ranking" member of the administration ... on deep background.

LOL! mmmmK.

3. Squirm and slither.
I want them to dig the hole ever deeper. These are not men of integrity - that should be obvious by now to even the most foolish partisans.

I will now watch Fox to see them squirm.

5. Wallace said that right after
Kookie Krystol said that since not successor was named, it meant that this resignation was sudden and unplanned. He further said that in the next few hours or days when we find out the reason, it won't be good for the Bush administration. HA!

7. Planned? I'm not so sure.
Is it effective immediately, and is there a replacement announced? If not, it wasn't planned.

11. Mara Liasson tried to "circle the wagons" this morning, too
When they were dicussing the "culture of corruption" in Washington she trotted out the usual right-wing talking point about how the Democrats took money from Abramoff, too. (Sorry, Mara, this might be news to you, but that's just plain false.)

Here's exactly what she said. It's a two-fer: she implies that Democrats are equally embroiled in the Abramoff scandal, and she unveils a variation of the classic Foxian line, "people are saying."

I think every time you hear another one of these kind of bipartisan scandal stories, where it's Democrats, not just Republicans taking money from Abramoff. It underlines a feeling that people tell pollsters over and over again, that everybody does it.

I turned it off right after that. They should just change their slogan to read, "FoxNews. The Official Propaganda Arm of the Bush White House.™"

12. Howard Dean was on ABC
With Stephanopoulos. He said yes a couple of Democrats were corrupt, but the corruption in the Republican party was systemic. It's the Senate Majority Leader, the former House Majority Leader, the Vice President's Chief of Staff, and on and on at the top levels. Frist, DeLay, Libby, Rove, Cheney, Bush, Abramoff, Cunningham, et al
