Kennedy today entered rehab center...end of story!
Kennedy held a press conference, accepted responsibility for his addiction and will now enter rehab.

He used the Rush Limbaugh Defense. No harm, no foul. Show's over.

1. No it's not! He's a Democrat. He's held to an impossibly high standard
Democrats can make no errors or they will suffer the consequences.

Republicans can because God will forgive them.

4. Hold on there ,What A Rush
I recently wrote a story about the Rush defense. And indeed there is no way to compare the Rush denfense with anything other than itself. Rush Limbaugh is suffering from the J. Edgar Hoover syndrome. The power of deception. The art of making people believe something ,believing it yourself ,which is to believe your own lies, and than becomming a champion of your own deception.Hoover hated homosexuality though he himself was a homosexual. He hated communism, socialist views , he instilled fear and smear. He prayed apon the weak or the fears of peoples with small minded views, uneducated and incapable of becomming self educated. Though by his own views and beliefs he himself was a communist. He applied methods of the predator and prayed apon the populas, than got politicans to get on board his boat. He courted groomed the press,he was a groomer, and groomers are masters of deception. The Rush defense is about addiction to feel good drugs, the need to feel good. Once he found out he was capable of feeling good ,he could not except less than that. All those poor distorted souls he was carrying.,or is. Don,t put that on Kennedy, He,s people. People get into situations that get out of hand, there, there is a corrective measure.Than there are those that have no reason to feel good at all, and find out that they can feel good. And don,t you know that too much is never enough. Some times it,s a combination of food,, booze , sex, drugs and the old actors syndrome of believing your own publicity, the super eago trip. Rush is guilty of being a fat mouthed over stuffed trash talking motor mouth addicted to feel good drugs because of his lack on conscience. Real people have a conscience. Lets keep it straight.

5. I just can't figure out though
Edited on Fri May-05-06 05:34 PM by B2G
If he wasn't clearly intoxicated, why didn't the cops drive him straight to the hospital or call an ambulance instead of just driving him home, assuming he'd be OK? I read the police report, and those would be some concerning symptoms if they weren't alcohol related. I just don't get most of this.

6. Where does it begin and where does it end.
Are cops expected to trained psychologist? Was it perhaps a judgment call? Seemingly the best thing to do given the circumstances? I once knew a nurse straight out of nursing school that took charge of a situation and forgot than once the paramedics arrived it was their call from that point. Little did she know at that point in time that the paramedics were far more knowlegleable threw experience than the trained nurse just out of school. In the nurses case one ethical beliefe overriding another. The oversight on her part was yelding the right of way to experience,a gross oversight on the part of the nurse, however her intentions were good. She was asked and than told to please back away, some bystanders disagreed but they were all wrong too.The nurse however realized that the paramedics were right. And so she did the right thing by defusing the crowd. The paramedics covered her, by not releasing the details to the doctor in charge over the radio. And so here the paramedics reached out in the form of risk taking. This perhaps because good nurses are not of abundance. So than this may mean that those that become the best ,become the best because they are prepared to take risks. Is there ever a clear cut answer to a complicated question?
