Does anybody else think it's strange that both Jack Straw and Porter Goss
get the boot within 24 hrs?

It makes my spider sense tingle.

3. It either has to do with
a coverup or someone refusing to go along with a coverup for all the nonstop fuckups the Bushco folx have thrown out! I really can't think of any other reason for it.

4. They're going to confess...
...that they've been lovers for the past fifteen years and are sick of living a lie. They want to claim their birthright as emancipated gay men and live the remainder of they days together, their lightly oiled bodies entwined around eachother in silken embrace as their eager tongues <censored by Americans With Weak Stomachs>

7. The Labour Party didn't do so well
in the election....so they're just rearranging the deck chairs on the Hindenberg.

9. Yes, it made me wonder for some odd reason
Wasn't Straw the guy that said nuking Iran was "nuts" or something like that? Maybe Goss wasn't willing to tow the line and back up any intelligence claims for prewar Iran propaganda?

10. The UK situation may be a bit different.
Blair is turning out to be the lamest of lame ducks and, in such cases, it's not unheard of for those who think they've got a chance of being the next head honcho to distance themselves from the current regime. Usually, it takes the form of flamboyant resignations on 'points of principle' (as if a politician even knows what one of those is), but the real reason is to get outside the tent to facilitate (in the words of Harry Truman) pissing in.

While Charles Clarke ejection was clearly a sacking, I think Jackie may be setting himself up for a run at the brass ring.
