Alito should withdraw to tend to his unstable wife and spare future trauma
Imagine what will happen if Alito is on the court and gets criticized in papers and on TV for various controversial rulings. His wife will be miserable and to continue on this course endangers her mental health. He should do the responsible thing and withdraw.

2. Yes, if a confirmation hearing is to big an ordeal for her to handle
he better do what would be in the best interest for his family.

5. It's sad.
I do not like when families get caught up in the political process. Yet I do recognize that if this fellow gets on the courts, his decisions will impact a heck of a lot of people's families, and not in a good way.

One of the things that stands out for me is how much stronger poor people tend to be, than those who have lived sheltered, pampered lives.

when Ed Muskie cried in defense of his wife?

alone.

She obviously needs care and will not do well married to a Supreme Court Justice.

For the love of god, PLEASE EMAIL your representatives and let them know, Mrs. Alito requires her husband's attention and that he should be relieved of this burden immediately!

:)

13. Send her to New Orleans, Brooks Army Hospital, or a soup kitchen ...
... in any U.S. city to see the VICTIMS of this fascist regime! Fucking melodramatic prig! It staggers the imagination to contemplate that ANYONE would have pity for a privileged, elite, bigoted reichbot undergoing the faux "hardship" of a Senate confirmation hearing when so many thousands and thousands have suffered REAL HARDSHIPS from the predations of ths malignant regime. What a fucking evil joke!

Crying? Did it escape this woman's attention that a confirmation hearing is an interrogation? :wtf:

22. oh honestly...

So now women who cry are to be laughed at and mistrusted?

Are we really talking about Alito's wife here, or do you have some hidden beef with women who cry for other reasons?

I DO detest these media games.
