Porter Goss did not resign over Hookergate...
It's all just part of the White House Shake-up...

You know, new blood and all....

Ignore the Hookers in the Room screwing the Elephant...

"The change is just the latest in a series of personnel shifts since Josh Bolten became White House chief of staff. Scott McClellan's last briefing as press secretary was today. He'll be replaced by Fox commentator Tony Snow next week.

The news of the Goss resignation comes as new poll numbers continue to cause dismay for Republicans. A new AP-Ipsos poll shows the percentage of Americans who want Democrats rather than Republicans controlling Congress is the highest since Bush took office, 51 percent to 34 percent."

Spin... Spin... Spin... ooh, I'm getting sick...

12. The CIA is not part of the White House itself
but it is a part of the Executive Branch, over which Bush is in charge and for which he is responsible. So is the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the armed forces. So any kind of trouble you see in any of these institutions (and more besides) is direct trouble for the President. Whatever happened today, whether it was a resignation or a stealth-firing, will reflect directly on the President. The shit is gonna hit the fan.

Man, getting to the bottom of this is gonna be fun....

9. After all the trouble they went to during the Goss confirmation
hearings, they want the American public to believe that?

Hookergate, hookergate - good for the hookers, I am glad someone got paid with all the screwing the admin has been doing to the American people.

11. Something about this stinks to high heaven
and it's not the perfume on a bunch of hookers. This whole thing doesn't pass the sniff test on any level.

Given Goss's recent attempt to gag agents he'd purged from the agency for being Democrats or "disloyal" and forbidding them to write anything critical of the administration, I have a sneaking suspicion that something brown, wet, and fetid is about to hit the fan.

I suspect there is one hell of a book on the way. Whether or not it finds a publisher is anyone's guess.

McGovern is speaking out, though, and that is good. His "crazies are back" remark is great.
