my first marriage was to a girl who was one week past her 17th birthday.....I was 22.But the ugly truth is we had been intimate for almost 15 months-that's right,we began sex when she was 15....and where I came from that was statutory rape...but like the Judy Collins song I was indeed"just out of the service" and was "looking for some fun"....but instead I found Jaimee who was both bored with her 15 year old life and more "experienced" than myself...So we married and had three children and Jaimee took herself from high school dropout past a ged and thru college classes and wound up as a bank officer....along the way we were divorced after ten years and she moved on thru her progression of three husbands before she tragically died in 1999 of cancer...I went and helped bury her with her third husband....we loved hard,then we fought,then we reconciled, and then she died....I think of her often....and I read about current witch hunts and I think,thank God that back then,our love could happen....Love you,Jaimee Rose...
