Edited on Sat May-06-06 05:55 PM by libhill
they aren't even trying to buffer it with the usual simple minded excuse about "fighting for our freedom". Even the American sheeple have realized by now that's it's all bout oil, power, and world domination. "Freedom", whether ours, theirs, or whoever's, has nothing to fucking do with it. Up until this point, war has always been put before the public as defending the American way from some formidable Third World boogie man (usually placed in power by Americans in the first place) and their formidable army of poison arrow men and awesome fleet of war canoes. Sure, I'm being sarcastic, but you get my drift...

48. The Freedom they/he speak/s about is their own (Me, Me, Me)...
...Freedom to wreak havoc, by knowingly and willfully creating total chaos all over this planet with war$, just to enrich themselves more, more, and more, without end, at the expense of everybody else. That is their perpetual obse$$ion for (their own) Freedom. And they won't obey any law that could restrain THEIR freedom to exploit everyone and everything they can. Bloody mess (they/he won't be caught in, or send their offspring to...) or not.

That's the Freedom they lie for...

9. Raw Story is down for me... Found "WWIII" story on Yahoo.. link below
(Aside: Is Raw Story still having problems for others? I tried the OP link and direct to RS homepage and it only got the messages, "No input file specified." and "Currently awaiting resolution....".)

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060505/pl_afp/usattacksbushwwiii_060505220719

<snip>
In an interview with the financial news network CNBC, Bush said he had yet to see the recently released film of the uprising, a dramatic portrayal of events on the United Airlines plane before it crashed in a Pennsylvania field.

But he said he agreed with the description of David Beamer, whose son Todd died in the crash, who in a Wall Street Journal commentary last month called it "our first successful counter-attack in our homeland in this new global war -- World War III".

Bush said: "I believe that. I believe that it was the first counter-attack to World War III.
<snip>
In 2002, then-White House spokesman, Ari Fleischer explicitly declined to call the hunt for Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda group and its followers "World War III."

I'll add this to the "Mad" King George W file... he really is totally bat*it crazy. :scared:

15. Yes, but he's our Leading (Imbecile).
Perhaps we should try to never use (write or speak) the phrase "War on Terror", replace it with "War on Terrorists" (distinction made thanks to George Lakoff of "Frames" fame)--that we can do, the former doesn't mean anything** and can be considered permanent and unwinnable.

**can't make war on a metaphor--at least not a physical one using our military (caveat added since republicans regularly make war on words (ex. liberal))

I looked back to refresh my memory as to who was running in the 2000 Republican primaries and that was one weird smorgasbord of bad candidates.

The Republicans had the choice of *, Gary Bauer, Steve Forbes, Orin Hatch, Alan Keyes and John McCain. Yikes, I can see how to many at time, * might have seemed the best of the sorry lot running in the primary.

this man is delusional/psychopath. I wish more psychologists and psychiatrists would come to the forefront and bring this out in the open. Bush had a history of alcohol/substance abuse for quite a long time, and on top of that he is a dry drunk (well now you never know he must be using something now) this man is clearly a danger to all people.

32. WHAT THE FUCK
When asked what kind of weapons World War III would be fought with, Einstein responded, “I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”

First of all, the Emperor is wrong(as usual). This isn't World War III, by any historical qualifiers. Vietnam and the Soviet War in Afghanistan weren't WWIII, they were just huge political-military debacles that resulted in massive human suffering. The World isn't at war. Most of the world is just sitting angrily at the sidelines while Bush stomps all over the planet.
Second of all, what the hell is he trying to say? According to Einstein, if this were World War III, we're done for. This is it. Is Bush now extending the terra mentality to the threat that he is voluntarily ending the world? Madness. Total madness.
This delusional drunk piece of shit needs to be kicked out of office. World War III...what lunacy. Sorry, I'm not okay with Emperor Jeebus McDrunkerson obliterating the planet.

37. The conversation
GWB on the phone: Hello, is this history?
History: Yes
GWB: Just wonderin' how y'all see me? (said with a Connecticut-Texan accent)
History: Right now you are trying desperately to catch back up to Buchanan.
GWB: Pat Buchanan wasn't president?
History: *sigh*
GWB: That's ok...I like Pat. But I was thinkin' more like FDR...or Woodrow Woodpec....Wilson. You know...a great leader in troubled times.
History: Is that what you thought?
GWB: Sure, I'm a hero of a World War. Ya' gotta love me for it.
History: I believe you actually started this World War. I don't tend to look kindly on that. Hitler hasn't faired well...why should you?
GWB: I didn't start it...it was them jihadists. They got no love for nothin' but some virgins. They blew up our buildin's. After that I made great speeches. How y'all not gonna show love for that?
History: Who attacked you?
GWB: Muslims
History: Which ones
GWB: What the hell does that matter? They all look the same to me.
History: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar looks like Saddam Hussein?
GWB: yep
History: wow....well, anyway, the person most responsible for attacking you was a man named Bin Laden...you might remember him?
GWB: Can't say that I do.
History: That is the first thing you've said that I believe. So, when he attacked you, you went to war with Afghanistan. I might have looked on that benevolently. Your stupid tax cuts and abhorrent favor-the-rich policies were hurting you with me, but Afghanistan could have been redeeming.
GWB: yep we whipped Taliban ass...major points for me.
History: Hold up, Cowboy. You MIGHT have earned points if you had actually rebuilt the country and provided to the Afghan people the stability they needed. Now, the Taliban is still there and the pre-Taliban warlords (who weren't much better) are running around creating havoc. Afghanistan is a hell-hole that you should have cleaned up...but you didn't...and if Afghanistan turns into a major mess it will count heavily against you.
GWB: You're tough history...but what about Iraq? That should make up for everything. We smoked out Saddam and spread peace. USA USA USA!!!
History: Ahhhh Iraq. You bungled it so badly that I've almost forgotten about Afghanistan. You have created a terrorist mecca where there was none. You have sacrificed countless lives and dollars so your rich friends could score...all the while destroying the reputation of your country. Christians, Jews, and Muslims are all at the boiling point, the Middle East is the most unstable it's ever been (and that's saying something), and innocent people are beheaded and tortured all over this "liberated" country. Hussein isn't fairing too well in my annals, but how about the Sudan? Liberia? Where were you when people were being killed by the millions? You were stealing oil. Your administration has done a nice job making the public buy how well things are going, but my perspective isn't quite so narrow. I see it from all sides, and you, sir, are in deep trouble with me.
GWB: You gotta give us props for our PR at least, we can sell oil to an Arab.
History: So could the Nazis.
GWB: Well, have I done anything right in your eyes?
History: Let's see...massive deficits, racial inequality actually getting worse in the USA, the dumbing down of science, the middle class completely sold out to your insurance company and credit card company friends, oil prices at unheard of rates (for no real reason except your friends' greed), a declining environmental situation, partisan politics at every turn (although you are quite good at accusing the other guys of this), and a party that is now so corrupt that the scandals seem like average day-to-day business. But I hear you can clear brush reasonably well.
GWB: Hell yeah, I was clearing brush when things were tough for everyone. Clearing brush is hard work. I showed I can still be normal when things are tough....I showed I can do hard work. What do you say to that? I'm a hard-worker...how about points for being hard-working?
History: You've taken more vacation than anyone...what hard work?
GWB: I cleared brush all through August of 2001...that is back-breakin' work? You gotta be impressed.
History: Think Nero...there was a PDB about that time if I recall.
GWB: Condy said that PDB didn't say nothin'.
History: She isn't fairing to well in my books either.
GWB: Damn....well aside from brush-clearin', have I accomplished anything with you?
History: You managed to improve my perception of Reagan and Nixon....something I never thought possible.
GWB: What if I invade Iran? If I bring peace to Iran you gotta love me. I'll even drop nucular weapons on 'em to show my tough, commited, resolved leadership.
History: NucLEAR dumb-ass. And if you bomb Iran I promise you will really move in the current historical standings.
GWB: Really?!??! Cool, where to...Lincoln, Kennedy, FDR?
History: Caligula.
GWB: You know what history...screw you. I can get Fox News to write you. That'll learn ya. <hangs up> Who reads history anyway?
Dick, Rummy, Wolfie, et al....no one sir.

The end

Sorry that was long...but I wanted to have some fun.
