Make no mistake. Hookergate is about Blackmail not Sex. |
|
And it has been going on for over 10 years. Anyone remember the Congressman from Florida that had the weird CAFTA vote?? What about the Prescription Drug Vote fiasco??
How many public officials and their aides have been compromised??
I remember a passage in "The Outlaw Bank" the BCCI book. I am paraphrazing but...it was about finding a person's weakness and exploiting it. For some people it is money, for some it is women, for some it is young boys, and so on...
Almost all of our representation in DC is OWNED in one form or another. It isn't just the Pukes.

2. I believe they stepped up their blackmail tactics as soon as... |
|
...they'd achieved total power (in 2002) to include spying on members of congress, the press, etc. I've wondered (for quite a while now) about what they have on Lieberman & McCain (some secrets so gnarly that it would ruin them if exposed).
We know they spied on the UN in 2002. What would stop them from spying on ALL of their political opponents?

5. Absolutely nothing. These guys are in it for keeps and think the ends |
|
justify the means. Completely agree they've been spying on their opponents, and their "allies" too since they've had access. No honor etc. There is nothing inside them that will stop them, they don't have that capacity (usually acquired by the end of adolescence in healthy humans).

Yeah, the problem with that is that a leader's hubris when he falls tends to take the rest of us with him.

3. "The Confessions of an Economic Hitman" by John Perkins |
|
He said the NSA did the same thing. They gave him tests to find his weaknesses and they looked for weaknesses in foreign leaders they wanted to control. I worry about the Dems being blackmailed every time they do something stupid. It's a good case to make for term limits.

6. I know it's not just the Pukes! But let me tell ya, |
|
if anybody in power is stupid enough to get involved in a situation they can be blackmailed for, then they ought to GO! I don't care what party affiliation they have, or how great they appear to do their job!

|
when I heard it...also the Franklin Scandal of the 80's, crossed my mind... is there any connection? When is that going to resurface?
Ya know it would not surprise me, if at the end of this, everything comes out...well maybe a little surprised

|
I think it would blow that town wide open.
I'll bet there are a few televangelists in there, too. Remember the silence from the pulpit when that story broke? Why would Phelps, Falwell, Robertson, Dobson, Terry, Reid and the other sanctimonious gasbags be silent on a homosexual prostitute being granted admission to the inner circle of pious GOP power?
Enquiring minds want to know.

13. I agree, this goes well beyond a mere tawdry sex scandal |
|
The question has continually come up when the media and/or congressional members act in a certain way whether someone has something over them. Given this 'enterprise' has been in operation for at least 15 years, that question has even more merit than one might have given it previously, imo.
