Colbert question
Anyone else think its weird the Colbert clip from IFilm is off the site, but the double talk Bush clip is still there?? Humm me thinks some pressure went down on these sites from big bro. This is got to be the most embarrasing clip for this White House yet, I can't believe Colbert said that crap within a few feet of Bush!

6. Why The Petty Nitpicking?
The OP has a 100% appropriate sentiment. He wasn't calling it crap as if the words were crap, it is just a generic way of talking sometimes. In that context it just means 'stuff', as in "I don't believe he said that stuff', not putting down the actual content of what was said. I think that's pretty obvious, and don't see why we should nitpick the poster when the sentiment was genuine just for sake of being petty.

7. hmmmmmmm, I don't know
maybe because he/she has a low post count and the fact that we didn't realize you were a mind reader.
It wasn't an attack....just didn't think "crap" was a word anyone was tossing around when speaking of Colbert in the sense that what Colbert said wasn't "crap"

10. "maybe because he/she has a low post count ". So Did You, Once.
Were you any less liberal then? There was a time I had my first post on DU. I was no less liberal then than I am right now. You had your first post once as well, were you less liberal or genuine then?

Some of the best posters on DU have low post counts, and I see countless numbers of high count posters that share sentiments that border on sheer insanity and delusion.

It isn't post count that matters, it's content.

11. True but
I've also been here long enough to realize why I may have been
questioned for some of my posts when I had a low post count. And I will bet money that you have questioned certain posts and then looked to see what the post count was. Sometimes I'm wrong and sometimes I'm right. But I look. Sometimes I've given a hardy welcome to a DU'er and a few minutes later they're tombstoned. So I don't claim to know it all.

You're right, it's about content. I saw the word crap in reference to Colbert. Maybe you're right, maybe I'm right. But seriously, no one attacked the OP, and we didn't call Freeper. I've seen people attacked here viciously, I could probably find someone being attacked right now.....but it's not in this thread.

8. From this morning's Seattle PostIntelligencer....
Popping Off "Why Stephen Colbert is My Hero"

http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/poppingoff/269205_popping06.html?source=myp

"He eviscerated President George W. Bush, the war, the national media and more, all with an unflinching, tight delivery. "

"Colbert chose to stand in front of a roomful of reporters, editors and publishers -- and all the big shots they cover -- and say what people have been thinking, with his own twist. Which, by the way, they so should have seen coming."
