as much as i have aspired to be or even self identified as being -
these lunatics make me want to go war with these freaking bastards.
at some point today in the course of the bantering back and forth on the question of "settled law" and "thank god" starre desises (sp?) isn't operable with every single statute or every single thing in the Constitution, I almost imagined that the one thing that would make Roe "settled" and the Establishment clause as "settled" would be to have another civil war - i think that might likely to happen in this country down the road, now that Scalito will be confirmed.
it's too bad the Dems won't filibuster this one.
editing for a bit more clarity.. ;)

Laura Bush killed in a car accident.
Margie Schoedinger is kind of 'out there' for a lot of people. Most people don't know about Laura Bush's traffic accident - and THAT is actually FACT.

She was subsequently found with a bullet hole in her head, the event ruled a suicide.

I heard and read about this woman before she was murdereed, and when i saw, in Sept. 2003, that she was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head, it was obvious what the real story was.

29. Excuse Me, But What The Hell Is The Problem? |
|
Why do people cast this story aside? Was she mentally ill? If so, it makes bu$h's rape and murder of her that much worse, if that's possible. Her husband, who was there at the time is alive yet, unless he has been "suicided" too. Fort Bend Dtar and Houston Chronicle had articles on this. This story actually happened, whether Dems or whoever, are too scared to touch it or not. I swear people are AFRAID of it. Too hot to handle. Oh well, let it go. Who cares? bu$h would have never did anything like this anyway, right? I think Christopher Schoedinger was paid dearly to keep quiet. I know some people from the area that say that's exactly what happened. I hope the name of the person Laura murdered (birds of a feather . . ) pops up,a nd I think it will. Sorry to say that I don't know what it is. Good luck. I hope you find out.

40. It's 'cast aside' b/c not much can be proven about the story |
|
(i.e., the rape, the bush connection, etc.). The only real fact is that she's dead and she made a claim. One could imagine that if the story were true, perhaps it played out this way by someone's evil design.
If it's not true it's a sad sad story, if it's true it's heinous any way you look at it.
I just don't see anyone (or any agency) picking up on this story and looking for more info one way or the other....so it won't go anywhere. There are a lot better/more productive and PROVEN avenues to follow (and even using THOSE people are having a hard time getting it across to the general population out there).

30. Here you go: It was Michael Douglas. He was 17 at the time. |
|
According to the two-page accident report, Laura Welch was driving her Chevrolet sedan on a clear night shortly after 8 p.m. on Nov. 6, 1963, when she drove into an intersection and struck a Corvair sedan driven by 17-year-old Michael Douglas.
Although previous news accounts have reported Douglas was thrown from the car and broke his neck, those details were not in the report. Scroll down the page here: http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/e1698.htm

32. Who else besides me thinks it's WRONG for ANY of the Senators |
|
to say which way their support will go BEFORE ALL OF THE ALITO PROCEEDINGS ARE FINISHED? Isn't that what this whole process is about? For the Commission to ask questions, listen for answers, and THEN decide?
How come so many of the Repub Senators are ALREADY telling Alito to his face, that he will get confirmed? How are they so sure? I think the senators who say such things just point up what a sham this whole process could be/is.
They're indicating that they've already made up their minds before all of the information is "out there".
Interesting that Senator Kyl (R-AZ) mentioned something in his monologue to Alito about how Alito shouldn't do such a thing, yet that's EXACTLY what Kyl's fellow senators are doing!
