|
like any of our "great white hopes" Kerry,Hillary etc. have even heard about the recent Diebold problems being exposed on the Brad blog.

1. All Dems should wear blue hats to the polls and someone |
|
should take photos of the people entering the polling places every couple of minutes all day on election day. All that is needed are hats, digital cameras, people to use them and lots of memory cards and batteries. This would make "miracle" come from behind wins by Repukes difficult to explain.

7. Just because a person wears a blue hat does not make him progressive |
|
The Republicans could just as easily do the same thing in order to contaminate the tracking procedures.
The most tried and true method is exit polling.

13. They'd be afraid someone from their church or country club |
|
would see them doing that. My thinking is that they'd wear red hats with Jesus fish on them in response.

10. they would just say that dems went and voted repuke and show some |
|
stat or poll or "some people say" that makes it possible.
we had the exit polls, and they told us to believe the impossible, so we did and went back to grazing like good sheeple.
nope, they will steal seats, there will be no concrete proof. Either we will let them do it again or we will get out in the streets and demand truth.

15. rzeman I like your hobby. I have to ask though. What good will a parallel |
|
election do us? We had exit polls, they are used all over the world to verify the honesty of elections, they showed our elections to be shams. What good did it do us? What would make a parallel election any better? It is not legally binding. It is not 'proof' you could use in a court. I think its unfortunately a waste of time and effort. What we need is to clean up the system, and when the system is rigged, we need to get out in the streets and stay there until we get justice.

17. I think a parallel election with the people who voted giving their |
|
voter registration number and stating their willingness to testify under oath that their vote was as they indicated would be admissible in court for the purpose of showing irregularity in the outcome, which is the legal standard for a court challenge in most jurisdictions.

18. agreed. we would have to have a good portion of the voters to be able |
|
to show a discrepancy.
is it possible?

4. I think that's why they don't care if the problems are so blatant. In fact |
|
that's the point. They do it blatantly because they can. And they know no one will do anything about it. And they laugh.

The permanent bases in Iraq will be completed as planned, they'll be bombing Iran right on schedule, those pesky midterm elections will be about as bothersome as a gnat, and the Dems won't do squat because they're too afraid of being called names.

6. The last time, the Diebold vote generating machines... |
|
...only had to manufacture a few percent extra votes to swing the election. This time, they'll have to create every single Republican vote out of thin air.
I think even our supine and brainless media will notice when 600 million people vote in the next election.
Then again, they probably won't.

8. Plan Ahead. Start Now. Inhibit. Detect. Fight Back. |

EDUCATE YOURSELF about ALL of the ways in which fraud has been/is being committed. > Read Mark Crispin Miller's "Fooled Again" > Read "Steal this Vote" > Go to Solarbus Election Justice and download the CD to watch videos > Check "VotersUnite.org" and "VoteTrustUSA.org" and "FairVote.org" > Lurk and post here at DU in election reform
EDUCATE OTHERS - friends, family, local Dems, other activist groups, city council, and all of your elected representatives.
REGISTER everyone you can get to, make sure they know their rights, and where to vote and make sure they get there.
CAMPAIGN for Progressive candidates - and if there aren't any campaign for the Dems.
PARTICIPATE in running the elections - learn the rules & make sure they are enforced.
WORK ELECTION PROTECTION to make sure that EVERYONE gets to vote.
RUN PARALLEL ELECTIONS to audit the results of your local elections.
Get your local candidates to commit to doing recounts even if the difference in winner/loser is huge.
PLAN AHEAD. START NOW. INHIBIT. DETECT. FIGHT BACK WHEN IT OCCURS.

12. why can't dems count the votes? |
|
remember, 'cowards die a thousand death while a hero dies but once' there's an incredible disconnect between what's known to be true (that the majority of the people are not rightwing bullyboy xian fundy greedy racist busheviks) and this sense of helplessness that democrats/libs/progressives display doesn't add up.....why aren't protestors bugging foxcnn? or russ limbah-humbug; why aren't we tracking his every move? same with all the rest of the mediawhores, why aren't they called out everytime they open their beanholes? if the majority is indeed rightwing clunkhead boors, then bush represents them very well, thank you, and we (dems) should just shut the fukk up.....if not, then why is 'diebolting' even a worry? why aren't the nazipoohs hiding in pure fright?
