Not sure what the retired generals hope to accomplish with Rumsfeld
out.

Yes, he mishandled the war but his replacement will not institute the draft to have more power and will not pull out just like that.

So besides embarrassing Rumsfeld and Bush, what do they hope to accomplish, if at all?

1. To weaken them so that the military
has more power in comparison to the iron-fisted rule Rumsfeld has wielded thus far.

Embarrassing Rumsfeld and Bush, and informing citizens and Congresspersons, may bring an end to the horror in Iraq, it may prevent military action in Iran and/or Turkey -- I am grateful to them.

2. Most people respect generals. What they have to say, matters
They may not change policy, but when they speak out, people DO listen..

3. Herr Busch gets weaker every time a fellow NeoCon is....
...removed from power.

Every time the NeoCons get embarrassed, they get a little bit weaker.

4. Depends on who replaces him, could always be another neocon
or worse

If all will continue to weaken the Republicans to let us take back Congress it is worth it. Just wonder why no one asks them, in all the talk shows: now that you are out against the way the war is handled, what do you hope to accomplish?

5. I think they want some explanation...
of what it is the administration expects to accomplish with the military. Wouldn't you like to know? I'm sure the troops would. As it stands today, anybody's guess is as good as it gets.

6. Yes, that's true
We know that the cause of the war changes with the wind. But now that we are there deep down, the troops, and we, deserve this.
